"Reginald. It's getting worse."
"What's getting worse Sandra?" A bearded man asked his trembling wife, she turned to him, "Our daughter, Eris," She said, "her powers are getting stronger and the townspeople...They're not happy. They've thrown things and threatened me, something has to be done."
"What do you suppose we do?" Reginald asked stroking his beard, "We've tried everything, and Eris is getting older..We can't keep her contained forever."
Sandra kept quiet, she stared at the ground, tears in her eyes.
"I know it's hard Sandra but.."Reginald began, Sandra interrupted him. "No."
"It has to be done Sandra."
"NO!"
"She is too dangerous!" Reginald insisted giving his wife a sorry smile, she wiped her tears. "She's our daughter," the woman whispered, "we can't kill her."
"Sandra, we have to do it now, we have no choice."
"But..."
"Sandra."
Eventually, she gave in, "Fine," she sighed, "but... how?"
Reginald stayed silent for a while before finally speaking, "We'll make her favorite dish but..."
"Poison it?"
Reginald nodded verifying his wife's suggestion and went to Eris' room planning to distract her for some time so Sandra could make the food.
"Dad!" The small girl cheered happy to see her father, "Do you want to play with me?" Reginald nodded and kneeled beside his daughter; they played until Sandra called Eris for her meal.
Reginald followed Eris to the dining room where she was served her meal. The girl squealed and clapped realizing the meal was her favorite. She was about to take a bite out of the meal when she frowned, "I don't want to eat this anymore."
Sandra and Reginald gave each other an alarmed look before looking back at their daughter, "W... What do you mean dear?" Sandra stuttered, "It's your favorite!"
"I don't like it, it's bad."
"You haven't even tasted it."
Eris pushed her plate away and it fell on the ground, shattering into little pieces, Reginald scolded his daughter and she screamed, the parents covered their ears.
"ERIS!"
She glared at them just before her eyes turned black, the couple stared in horror at their daughter as they were lifted into the air.
"Eris!" Sandra called out, "What are you doing?"
The small girl laughed in an evil manner as if she was taunting her parents.
"ERIS!!!" Reginald yelled trying to make his voice stern even though he was terrified "Stop this nonsense immediately!"
"Why should I?" Eris spoke, her voice deep and mature like that of a woman's.
Reginald and Sandra looked at each other knowing well who was talking, the thing was back.
"You!" Reginald yelled, "What do you want with our daughter?"
"The daughter you tried to kill just a few minutes ago?" taunted the voice, "Only because of you!" Sandra screamed, "leave our daughter, please."
"I wish I could," the voice sighed, "but I can't, not until..Well I'm not sure yet."
"What do you mean you're not sure?" Reginald inquired angrily and Eris shrugged. "Like I said before," the voice continued "I don't know."
