Day 127

We just finished eating breakfast. We're about to start our journey to the archives, even though we're not really sure where we're heading.

"I think we should go now." Levi remarks, getting up from the ground and hanging his bag on his shoulder. The others nod in agreement.

We all pack our things and put out the campfire. "So," Ava begins, "Do we have any kind of hint to where the archives are?"

Ajax looks down, "Well, when I was young, my mother always said to follow the sun in the daytime and the north star at night." 

"You had a mother?" Bryce snickers. Ava smacks his head.

"Ow!"

"Yes," Ajax says, shooting Bryce a nasty glare, "I had a mother. She was one of my father's many concubines. I don't remember much of her though. Only thing I can recall is, she had brown hair and was once a White Dove."

Liv's eyes widen, "I hope that's not what you planned for me as well." She says, looking at Ajax. "I don't want to be some concubine."

"Eew no." Ajax grimaces, "I refuse to indulge in my father's fetish." He pauses, "Besides, you're my one and only queen." Ajax shrugs, the tiniest blush creeping up unto his cheeks.

Liv smiles, her cheeks reddening. "So cute!" Bell gushes, making me smile.

"Bleh." Bryce frowns, poking out his tongue. Ava smacks his head again.

"Anyways..." Levi says clearing his throat, "It's daytime now so we should follow the sun."

We nod and start walking in the direction of the sun, leaving our campsite behind. Bell hums a folk song while Ava gives Bryce a lecture, ranting about something he doesn't look too interested in.

Suddenly, Levi walks up to me, a small smile on his face. I give him a small grin in return.

"Hey." He greets.

"Hey."

"I was wondering if you would like to train." He continues, "You know, so you can master your powers."

"Oh yeah!" I nod, "When do we start?"

"Now."

I'm falling, not physically, but mentally. It's like Nyx summoning me into the abyss.

"W..Where are we?" I ask once I land on what feels like the ground.

"Your brain." Levi replies, helping me up.

"How did you do that?" I inquire looking around, "This only happens when Nyx summons me."

"I started that way too." Levi says, "Erebus summoned me regularly and after some time, I learned how to do it myself. It really helps you focus."

"Woah!" I gasp. "This is cool but, won't we collapse in the real world? The others will be worried about us."

"Right now, we're still walking. The thing is if anyone asks us a question, we won't answer." Levi explains. "It's like being in a daze or dream."

"You have to teach me how to do this!" I say, Levi laughs.

"It's easy, all you have to do is tune everything out and focus on your deepest desires."

I nod.

Deepest desire? That may be an issue. What do I want most in the world?

Hmm..To find the archives?

That's one of them but not exactly my deepest desire.

I'll have to think about this.

The abyss shakes, feeling like an earthquake or tremor.
