These past few days, I've been having weird dreams and Nyx doesn't want to tell me why. She says they're memories but I think she's probably speaking in code again.
I'm taking a stroll alone since I can't find any of my friends....
Oh Levi!
I walk towards him, he's talking to someone, but I can't see who.He may be crazy.
"Who are you to judge? You talk to yourself too." Nyx teases much to my annoyance.
Oh, shut up, it's different with you.
"Whatever you say~"
I walk over to Levi, but he doesn't notice my presence.
"Well, you shouldn't have screamed." He says, I don't know if he's talking to me so I look behind me and see nobody. I'm about to speak up when he interrupts with something else.
"What do you mean that wasn't your fault?" He continues, "I had to watch you die yesterday."
Maybe I came at a wrong time?
"Erm..Levi?" I tap his shoulder and he turns to look at me widening his eyes.
"Eris!" He exclaims nervously, "How long have you been there?"
Long enough to see your mental breakdown.
"Not too long." I lie, "I just came now."
"Oh..Sit." He says patting the grass beside him, I obey and take a seat next to him, ignoring the scratchy feeling of grass against my skin.
Levi and I don't say anything to each other. There's nothing to say, we don't know each other that well.
"So.." He begins breaking the awkward tension in the atmosphere, "I realized I don't know much about you except that you're fourteen and have cool hair."
I smile at the compliment, "Yeah, I guess I do."
"Were you born that way?" He asks admiring my purple locks.
I nod.
"What about your parents?" He continues, "Did you live with them before you were brought here?"
"No. I'm an orphan" I tell him truthfully, "my mother died in childbirth and my father abandoned me, I don't know who he is."
"Do you remember anything of them?"
"No."
"So how are you so sure that's what happened to them?" He inquires curiously, maybe a little too curious.
"Well, my caretaker, Becky told me." I explain, hoping he'll drop the subject.
"But how could you be so sure though? What if she was lying?"
I've never thought of that before.
I actually don't remember anything from my first five years of life, most things are a blur. I never question it though. I think it's normal.
"Maybe you should." I hear Nyx say with an echo.
"What?" I ask aloud.
"What?" Levi furrows his eyebrows confused.
"Oh erm..Sorry I blacked out." I apologize, leaning back into the trunk of the tree we are under.
"No problem." Levi shrugs, "I asked what if Becky was lying."
"I don't know.... To be honest I don't really care." I tell him.
"Well, it's your past." He pauses, then continues, "Anything else? Maybe a deep dark secret you haven't told anyone?"
