In the beginning, there was Khaos, the creator. It sat in the vastness of the universe and one day looked upon the world of trees and animals. Khaos was bored so, with a small flick of the wrist and a puff of moondust, it created six powerful kingdoms of humans.

The White Doves, kindhearted peacemakers.

The Black Crows, hot headed and rebellious.

The Red Robins, guardians of the forest and agriculture.

The Golden Eagles, masters in science and technology.

The Silver sparrows, experts in music and the arts.

Lastly, the Ravens. They were the most powerful kingdom of all excelling in the art of magic. They had abilities that were far from what was considered normal.

The six kingdoms shared their gifts and talents with one another and lived in harmony until the others became jealous of the Ravens, seeing them as a threat to their various kingdoms.

They wanted to destroy the Ravens, so the Doves, Robins, Crows, Eagles and Sparrows had a meeting without them.

"What are we going to do?" Queen Alaia, ruler of the Red robins inquired, taking a sip of her herbal tea.

"I do not know." King Evilus of the Black Crows admitted.

"Well we have to do something." King Davis of the White Doves said, his face full of concern and a hint of fear. "The Ravens are getting more powerful each day. Who knows, maybe they're coming up with a plan to invade our kingdoms!"

"I thought the White Doves were calm beings." King Seth, ruler of the Silver Sparrows teased his friend.

"We are." King Davis huffed, "But, we cannot just sit around and do nothing when the Ravens are planning our demise."

"If they are planning our demise." King Edgar of the Golden Eagles corrected adjusting his 'glasses', one of the latest developments in their science and technology. "What if they do not have any ill intentions."

King Evilus laughed, his hearty chuckle filling the room, "Nonsense. Have you forgotten what that Nyx did to me at her party?"

Queen Alaia rolled her eyes, "She slammed you into a wall. So what? You did not die, did you?"

"No, but the duke did!" Evilus exclaimed, "His wife is still mourning till this very day!"

"May his soul rest in peace." Alaia said solemnly, placing her right hand on her chest, "I understand where you are coming from, but we must remind ourselves," she was looking at the others now, "Nyx is young and temperamental. She did not mean to do what she did. Besides, she apologized."

"Alaia," King Seth began, "Nyx is nineteen, Erebus is twenty. You're defending an adult!" He pointed out. Alaia nodded.

"They are still young." Edgar remarked, "They have an entire kingdom to care for, it must be hard."

"Khaos made a mistake choosing a child to be queen." Alaia shrugged, her tone reducing itself to a small whisper.

"It is like you have all forgotten, Nyx is the daughter of Khaos." King Evilus spoke, crossing his arms and placing his legs on the meeting table. Seth and Edgar glared at his behavior, but he ignored them and kept his gaze fixed on Alaia who was sitting in front of him.

The kingdoms dwelled in an awkward silence and tense atmosphere, someone passing by would think time had stopped the way they were paused.

"Correction." King Edgar said, pulling down his sleeves, "Nyx was created directly from Khaos, the universe, not a person."
