Day 64

E? Is that someone's name?

"It's..It's a nickname." I hear my inside voice, Nyx tell me.

So, you aren't dead?

"Oh, shut it!"

Sorry, I just assumed you were...What were you saying about E?

"It's a nickname."

Whose nickname?

"Someone I think I know but can't remember." Nyx explains, not helping me much.

Then who is that girl I've been dreaming about?

Silence.

Nyx? Nyx?

Ugh not again.

I get up, leave my cell, and go into the fields quickly realizing nothing much is going on. I notice Levi in the distance and wave to him, he comes over. "Hi." I greet and he gives me an exhausted smile.

"What's up with you?" I inquire, "You look exhausted."

"Some other male slaves and I have been working since 3am." He explains, "I'm really tired."

"Sorry," I frown, and he nods, mouthing a 'thanks'. "Do you now have any idea at all of what you guys are building?" I ask and Levi shakes his head, "The others and I are just building what is above, Black Crows are the ones building underground since we are not allowed to go down there."

"But, you can see the past, present and a few glimpses of the future." I remind him, "You should at least have some idea of what they're doing."

Levi shrugs, "I don't." he says yawning, "See you later,I need to get some sleep." Levi then walks away, and I try to read his mind, as usual it's blocked.

Don't try to read my mind, Eris.

Ugh!

What could he be hiding? I'm so curious, but, I know I ought to respect his privacy.

Ava interrupts my thoughts by tapping my shoulder, I turn around to look at her. 

"You're always daydreaming," she laughs, "get your head out of the clouds." I nod, still confused.

"Now come on! We have some work to do." Ava says before dragging me to the workshop, other girls are sitting quietly sowing up some torn-up clothing belonging to the Black Crows.

I take a seat beside my friend and grab a red cloth from the basket, as I work on it, I listen to a conversation between two girls.

"Don't you think the structure is pretty mysterious?" A blonde asks her friend, "I wonder what the Black Crows are hiding."

"Me too." The blonde's friend, a girl with dark brown hair and amber eyes agrees, "My mate tried to sneak around but, unfortunately he was caught." She frowns.

"He's lucky." The blonde girl tells her friend, "I heard a story about a guy who was caught going underground and was killed."

"That's awful!" The amber eyed girl grimaces.

"I know." The blonde nods, before going on, "I think I know what it's for, I have a theory they're using it as an area for turning us slaves into gorgons."

The dark-haired girl rolls her eyes, "Tessa, you're delusional"

"Hey! It might be true!" Tessa says defending herself, holding her arms up as if she were surrendering.

"Well," the other girl continues, "I think they're going to test some experiments on those 'specials' Prince Ajax was talking about when I first got here."
