Chapter 4

I woke up the following morning at around 5:00am bursting with energy. I did my normal morning routine and decided to head to the gym for a quick morning workout before having to go to the performance centre for my meeting with Paul and Stephanie. I walk into the gym with my phone, headphones and my water bottle, I soon start warming up with stretches before putting in my headphones and start playing my workout playlist through Spotify. I start my workout by using one of the empty treadmills.

About halfway through my gym session - so about and hour or so since I started - I'm doing some weighted squats, watching myself in the mirror when this young women - who looks to be around 20ish years old - slowly makes her way over to me. I finish my set and walk over the nearby bench to sit and have some water whilst turning off my music on my phone but keep my headphones in my ears. She finally gets to me and just stands there looking down at the floor, fiddling with her fingers so I take put one of my headphones and ask calmly, "Hey, can I help you?" "Uhm I'm sorry to disturb you but are you Skylar Morningstar?" She asks quietly. I smile up at her and nod, "Yeah that's me and your not disturbing me so don't worry." She seems to relax a little and releases a breathe I'm guessing she was holding. "O-okay... uhm well I'm a huge fan and I was wondering if I could maybe take a picture with you?" She questioned, I stand up lowly chuckling to myself and reply, "Sure but how about we both take a picture and when I post mine on my instagram, I can tag you." Her face seemed to light up when I suggested that and nodded her head yes.

We posed for her picture first, it was just a simple side hug and smiling but when we posed for mine, we each did devil horn hands and stuck out our tongues. When the picture was taken I went straight to my instagram and posted it, tagging her in it. I also followered her back because she was a really sweet girl and I do love meeting my fans. For about an hour afterwards, we worked out together and talked before I decided to head home. I gave her a tight hug and we said goodbye to each other. As I got into my car I heard my phone go off, I checked it and it was a notification from the girl I'd just met, Brianna. She had posted her picture, tagged me in it with the caption, 'Can't believe I just met Skylar Morningstar!!! Honestly the kindest women I have ever met.' I commented on her post saying, 'You better believe it Bri!!!'. Putting my phone away I started my car and headed home, the smile never leaving my face. 

As soon as I got home, I went to take a shower. Once dry I changed into this...

I wanted to make a good impression but I didn't feel the need to dress all formal like. Plus the email didn't state 'formal' so I went with my usual style. After getting dressed, I braided my hair to keep it out of my face and just moisturized my face as I don't like wearing make-up outside the ring unless it's absolutely necessary.

I have just gotten out of my car and was walking into the performance centre. To say I was now a little nervous was an understatement. I was met at the entrance by one of the general managers who welcomed me in on my day off and took me to where I'd be meeting Paul and Stephanie.

We arrived outside of one of the spare office rooms and they knocked before entering with me following close behind, shutting the door as I enter. Paul and Stephanie stood and met us halfway into the room. Greeting me with a handshake Paul said, "Skylar so nice to finally meet you. How have you been?" To which I smiled and replied, "Please call me Payton and I'm doing well thank you." We all sat down around the table and conversed for a few minutes about my career so far when Stephanie piped up and said, "I'm honestly surprised we hadn't seen your natural wrestling talent yet. I mean you been here for two years, is that correct?" I looked at her nodding, "Yes, that is correct." Now it was Paul's turn to speak, "Well your probably wondering the real reason we called for this meeting." "Yes I was actually." I replied nervously.

Paul chuckled a little, "No need to be nervous Payton, the reason we asked you here today was because we saw your match the other night against Blair Davenport and we were amazed by how you handle yourself in the ring." He started, "Stephanie and I were so impressed infact that yesterday we talked and..."
