Chapter 6

TW - Not really a trigger warning but there is swearing in this chapter. 

I woke up when it was announced that the plane was about to make it's descent so I straightened myself up, fastened my seatbelt and waited for landing. I turned to look out the window and zoned out a little, staring at the clouds. I snapped out of my thoughts when the plane landed and came to a stop and I waited for the go ahead to exit the plane. Once I had made it throught airport security and had collected my bags, I made my way towards to the exit. When I was outside, I called an Uber and waited. About 15 minutes later an Uber pulled up calling my name so I got in and we headed off to my new house. 

My excitement grew the closer I got to my new home and eventually we made it. I made sure to tip my Uber driver for helping with my luggage before pulling the keys out my purse and heading inside. It was beyond beautiful and it was the perfect size for what I needed. It was basically a small mansion with double ceilings all throughout, a modest grand staircase in the entrance hall, an open plan kitchen/dining room with pantry attached, a large living/entertainment room with massive sliding doors that led to the backyard, two bathrooms, two large double rooms, a large king-size master bedroom with an en-suite and a balcony overlooking the large pool out back. Under the house was a oversized garage that will be used for my transformations. The double ceilings were magnificent and would give me more than enough room to stand at full height when in wolf form. 

I spent the first couple of days unpacking and making sure everything was in the right place. One of the double bedrooms was on the ground floor with a double sliding door to the backyard patio so I decided to turn it into an at home gym and ordered a bunch of gym equipment to fill the room. I would have to wait about a week for all the equipment to arrive but with what I had in mind, it would be worth the wait.

It was now just past 2pm on my forth day at my new home and everything was fully decorated, fully furnished how I wanted it... well apart from the gym but everything else was and I was so happy with how things turned out. I was currently watching TV relaxing when I heard a knock on my front door. I jump up and head towards to door to open it. When I do, I am greeting by one of the most stunningly beautiful women I have every layed eyes on. 

A/N - Payton doesn't exactly have a preference when it comes to dating. She has dated in the past but it was other shapeshifters or witches so her secret was never an issue.

Apparently I was staring because I was bought back to reality when I heard her chuckle, "Uhh hey, I live just down the street and noticed that you recently moved in. So uhm I thought I'd come welcome you to the neighbourhood." she said softly with her sexy Australian accent. 'Oh fuck' I thought but smiled up at her, "Yeah uhm sorry I wasn't expecting someone to come knocking." I replied nervously laughing. "No worries." She says smirking and sticks out her hand, "Well I'm Demi, it's nice to meet you neighbour." I shake her hand whilst trying to avoid looking at her smirking lips and focus on her gorgeous blue eyes, "Payton, nice to meet you too Demi." We spoke for a few minutes before Demi left to go home and check on her dogs and I spent the rest of day trying not to think about the bewitching Australian beauty before heading to bed.
