Chapter 74

It was now around the time that Tyra gets up for school and as soon as I heard her moving around, I started getting stuff together to make breakfast. I also hear Athena moving around so I decide to make enough food for everyone; that includes Tyra, Athena, Sheamus and myself. I get about halfway through making breakfast when Tyra enters the kitchen, "Morning sweetie, breakfast is almost ready." I greet as she sits down at the table. "Morning Mama, did Demi leave okay?" Tyra asks, "Yeah she did baby." I reply with a smile.

As I am finishing up, I hear Barry and Luna scratching at the patio door so I ask Tyra to go open it for them and she does. When she returns, I hand her a plate and she sits back down at the dining table. Athena enters the kitchen as I'm plating up the rest of the food I cooked so I hand her a plate, she smiles in thanks and goes to sit by Tyra to eat.

At this point Barry and Luna run in and sit at my feet, wagging their tails. I chuckle and fix them their food, making sure that their water bowls are topped up before I head to the garage. As I open the door, I notice the scorch marks on the floor where I woke up. I sigh and walk over to the couch before crouching down next to it. I gently place a hand on Sheamus' cheek, rubbing my thumb over it. "Hey, Ste. I made breakfast and I was about to make coffee if you want some." I say softly and he groans as he wakes, "Morning Toni and yes, I would like some coffee please." he replies.

I pull him up off of the couch and we walk back to the kitchen hand in hand, where I make a fresh pot of coffee. I hand him his plate of food and as he walks past me to get to the table, he places a quick kiss on the top of my head. After the coffee is made, I walk over to the table and place a cup infront of both Sheamus and Athena before sitting down with my own food and cup of coffee.

By the time Sheamus, Athena and I have all finished eating, Tyra had gone upstairs and gotten ready for school. She came up to me and gave me a hug, "I'm off to school now Mama, I love you." she says and I smile returning the hug. "Okay baby, have fun today and I love you too." I say in response and she leaves, after saying goodbye to everyone.

After a quick disagreement, Athena washes the dirty dishes before she sits opposite me at the table. "So, what happened last night?" She asks, I take a deep breath and turn my attention to her, "Let me just say that, this is not how I wanted to tell you but if you haven't already guessed... I'm not exactly fully human." I start. Sheamus - who was sitting next to me - put his hand on my knee, giving it a gently squeeze. I give him a thankful smile before turning back to Athena, "It's better if I just show you." I finish as I stand.

Both Athena and Sheamus follow me to the garage, so do the dogs for that matter. I ask them to sit on the couch and they do as I make my way to the middle of the room but the dogs follow me. I signal them to go lay down by the couch and they do, leaving me with enough space. I stand in full view of eveyone and look towards Athena, "What I am about to show you, you cannot tell anyone. I have only ever told Demi, Sheamus and Tyra." I tell her. She nods so I continue, "As I said moments ago, I am not fully human. I am a hybrid, my mother was a powerful elemental witch and my father was a wolf shapeshifter. My existance is extremely rare but also technically forbidden, hence why it needs to be kept a secret." "Why forbidden?" Athena asks, "The coven my mother was born into forbade it's witches and wizards to love, marry or cross-breed with any supernatural species, apart from other witches or wizards. So when it became known that my mother fell in love with a shifter, she was banished from the coven and moved away with my father." I told her.

I proceeded to explain what I could do but said that it would become clear when I showed them; so that's what I did. I took a deep breathe, closed my eyes, cleared my mind and focused on the fire that ran through my veins. Seconds later, I was engulfed in flames; moving it, manipulating it before I let it simmer down again as I opened my eyes. I then moved on to wind. I held out my left hand, palm up, and used my right hand to manipulate the air to create a small tornado between them before stretching it out and letting it dissipate. Next up was earth, I created flowers and vines that crawled up the walls before pulling back and letting them die.

Last but certainly not least, was water. I close my eyes again and take another deep breath before letting muscle memory take over as I start moving my body through the water manipulation techniques. (think of the water bending scroll from Avatar the last airbender) I call out to the water in the air around me, commanding it to bend to my will. As I continued, I began to see the room around me even with my eyes closed as I controlled the water. I knew exactly what that ment and a few seconds later, a low hiss could be heard.

Leviathan.

When I came to the end of the water dance, I stood still while keeping control of the water. I open my eyes and am greated by Leviathan licking my face. I giggle and relinquish my hold over him, letting him evaporate. I look over at Athena, Sheamus and the dogs to find the two humans looking at me in awe while the dogs napped, "There is still three more things to show, one of which Sheamus has already seen and I know this is a lot to take in Athena but how you doing so far." I ask. Athena stays silent for a moment before saying, "Y-yeah, I-I'm good. You can continue." to which I nod.

I proceed to create a lightning bolt between my hands, holding it there for a few seconds and releasing it. I then close my eyes again and move on to calling out to the darkness in the room, commanding it to gather around me. When I open my eyes again, they are pitch black but slowly turn back to my normal ocean blue as I detach myself from the shadows. "Before I show you the last thing Athena, I need to ask one thing of you." I say, looking at her. She nods, "I need you to not freak out and don't run or scream. I know how that sounds but please trust me." I say. "Okay, I'll try my best." She responds with a smile. I smile back and begin to focus on shifting.

Shifting was relatively easy and even though my merged wolf form seems to change in appearance every time, Barry and Luna seem to know it's still me. I hear them whimper and whine so I look over at them, giving them a small nod to approach. They perk up at this and run to me, I gave the a lick and a nuzzle each before I hear a gasp. I turn look at Athena and Sheamus, "Beautiful as always." he says...

I cautiously approach and he stands meeting me halfway. I nuzzle my head in his chest as he scratches behind my ears and based on his height, I'd say I was about 6ft tall.

I take a step back when I hear growling and whining, I turn my head to see Barry and Luna fighting. I crouch down a little and stalk towards them. My ears pushed back with my teeth bared as a warning growl erupting from my throat with every step I take. Luna stops and submits to me but Barry tries to bite her so I rush forward and stand over Luna protectively, a dangerous snarl ripping forth as he challenges me. When he jumps forward snapping at me, I stomp one of my front paws and growl darkly; snapping back. He submits when I knock him over - gently because of my size and strength - and place a paw on him, I let him up and he apologies to Luna. When she forgives him, I calm down and lead them over to the couch where I lay down at Athena's feet.

She reaches down a pets my head, "So, is she like the alpha?" she asks Sheamus. He chuckles and shakes his head, "No, she is the alpha." he replies. We stay like that for a few minutes before I stand, move away and transform back into my human self. Everything is silent for a few moments before Athena runs to me, tackling me into a hug. I wrap my arms around her returning it, "Thank you for telling me." she says as she pulls away. "I won't tell anyone either. So what else can you do or is that it?" She asks once we move back into the kitchen, "Ability wise, yes but I also have enhanced strength, sight, smell and hearing." I tell her and her eyes widen for a second before she recovers. "So... at the airport..." She starts and I chuckle nodding, "Yeah, I heard what you called me." I reply and we spend a while talking everything through.
