I knew I had to tell her. I knew I did but I didn't know how.

We lay in bed for what seemed like hours, no-one daring to speak. "You know you can talk to me about anything. I won't judge you." Demi said softly, breaking the deafening silence. I nodded but stayed quiet for a few moments longer, "I can't get pregnant. Not anymore." I whispered; having a mental battle on whether to tell her or not.

She remained silent as I spoke, "I had only been able to shift into a wolf for a few weeks when it happened. I was 16 and fresh out of high school. Me and a friend were walking to her house when a black van pulled up next to us. Two huge men jumped out and grabbed us. We tried fighting back. We even tried to shift into our wolves but they injected us with something that knocked us out. The last thing I saw before everything went black was my friend Jade being tossed into the back of the van." I started but paused to take a shaky breath.

"The next thing I know, we wake up in a dark room on the floor. We had our hands tied behind our backs, wearing nothing but our underwear. It was so cold and damp but we couldn't do anything but cry and wait. Some time passed and one of the men came in, he walked towards us and slapped Jade across the face when she bite him. He kicked her and grabbed me instead. I was taken to a different room and thrown onto a bed before I was tied to it, then gagged and blindfolded. I was so scared but then, it got really quiet. I didn't know what was going to happen but I didn't expect what did. All of sudden, a pair of hands started touching me. I tried getting away but he slapped me and told me there was no escape. He said that we were going to have some fun, then he tore off my panties." I paused again to take a breath.

"He pulled my legs open and kneeled between them before I felt him force himself inside me. I screamed out in pain but it was muffled because of the gag and all he did was laugh, praising me on how tight I was. When he finished, I was dragged back into the dark room and thrown down. We were given thin blankets to cover ourselves with but nothing more. We were barely feed or given much water either. I was hoping someone would find us but months passed and still, no-one came. Jade and I were beaten, tortured and raped multiple times a day, everyday until one of them noticed I had gained some weight. They had their so called doctor check me out and after a few tests, they found out that I was pregnant. The beatings and torture stopped but the rape didn't, if anything it happened more often." I felt Demi tighten her hold around me as I spoke.

"I was given weekly checkups until they determined I was far enough along to deliver. They took me to what they called the medical room and tied me to a metal bed. The doctor drugged me but didn't put me fully to sleep. He sliced me open and didn't stop, even when I started screaming. He removed the baby and stitched me up but I passed out from the blood lose. When I woke up again, I was back in the dark room but Jade wasn't there. Eventually after a few hours, she was thrown back in but she wasn't moving so I crawled over to her. I rolled her over and she was covered in her own blood. I checked for a pulse but there wasn't one. They had beaten her to death." I pause for a third time and take a third, less shaky breath.

"I screamed at the top of my lungs out of sadness and anger. Sadness because she was the only friend I had who was a wolf and anger because of what they did to her. As I screamed, it was like I'd called out to the shadows around the room because they started to gather around me. The ground started to shake, the air around me blew like a gail force, Jade's blood started to float and it felt like my own blood running through my veins was literally boiling. My scream turned into a howl as I shifted and I heard several howls from wolves nearby where ever we were respond. One of which, was my father. Two of the men rushed into the room to see what was going on but because I was larger than they expected me to be in wolf form for my age, I managed to overpower them. I stayed by Jade's side, guarding her body until my dad entered the room who was soon followed by Jade's parents; all in wolf form. Even though I knew who they were, I didn't want to believe it. I was so sure that the people who took us were playing a trick so I stood my ground, growling and snarling at them. My dad shifted back to human and edged towards me, saying it was okay now that I was safe. Once I realised it was really him, I shifted back and launched myself at him and broke down. I looked over to Jade's parents and apologised for not being able to keep Jade safe but they never once blamed me." I continued.

"The police were involved in the beginning but they gave up the search after the first couple of months and when Mum and Dad found out that the children that were taken were all supernatural beings, they gathered all the parents of the missing kids and they all decided to find us themselves. Most of the kids didn't make it though. Some were beaten or tortured to death like Jade but some died because of the surgery to remove the babies they were forced to carry; I was lucky to survive. Once we got home, Mum and Dad took me to the hospital because of my injuries. They explained that I was one of the missing children the police gave up on and I was treated. The doctors told us that I had suffered several broken bones that were mostly healed but I had to be careful. I had cuts and burns all over my body but thankfully nothing scarred." My eyes filled with even more tears as I thought about what I was about to say next.

"The doctors also said that when they cut me open and removed the baby, they caused a lot of damage that left me with so much scar tissue that I would never be able to conceive and if by some miracle that I did, I would always end up miscarrying. So after talking with the doctor some more, my parents and I agreed for me to get a full hysterectomy." I tell her and look up at her, "So you see Dems, I can't be pregnant because I can't physically get pregnant." I finish.

We spoke for a while longer before I finally agreed to go see a doctor. We spent the rest of the day lounging in bed with the door open for the dogs. If we wanted food we would order something and Demi would go down to get it. When it was time for dinner, we ordered pizza and ate it in bed while we watched TV. Eventually falling asleep later in the night.
