•Epilepsy is a neurological disorder caused by trauma to the nervous system. Having epilepsy means that you have an abnormal amount of electrical activity in your brain. It can be hereditary but it's not exclusively genetic.

•Epilepsy causes epileptic seizures which are dangerous and scary seizures that happen repeatedly and put your body through extreme stress, usually worsening the condition each time they occur.

•People with Epilepsy usually live pretty long, dying, on average, only two years before the natural age. However, as with any other serious disorder or disease, there will always be separate complications and sometimes Epilepsy can take people too soon.

SYMPTOMS:

Symptoms of Epilepsy include Euphoria before episodes, experiencing brief confusion, staring blankly at times, epileptic seizures and seizure symptoms, fear, anxiety, etc.

TREATMENT:

Treatment of Epilepsy consists of medication and surgery/procedures. Usually, procedures are only used as a last resort when medication fails. Other than this, there is no specific "cure". If left untreated, it could lead to eventual death from the seizures.
