Chapter 66: Tug-of-War Part 1

Sane and Micholle looked at each, exchanging looks that could only sum up the words, what the actual fuck. Their reactions were towards what exactly. There was no one answer, instead there were options.

Green and blue eyes met, their eye language impeccable because they were close friends. An entire conversation passed silently, simply by the action of their eyes.

Which drama was more brow-raising? King Aiden telling King Leiodus that he was basically fucking his son…or that his son was fucking the King. Either way, it involved two dicks!

There was also Naki…there was always Naki. The man was lowering the intensity of the halo coming from him, but those already bright eyes still flared. Most nobles knew a little about the Cloud, stories told about them always involved mystics and magic. Usually, the word light or glow came up. The real thing outshined any story, pun intended.

Vyjas looked back at Leiodus, eyes wide as he silently asked the other King if he felt the surge of power. Of course he did, he out of anyone would. Leiodus’ expression spoke volumes. If Aiden revealing his sexual exploits with Sega wasn’t enough, here was his cash cow stirring up issues.

When had Naki gone from a jolt to a lightning bolt? Eyes lined with black lashes narrowed annoyingly. That would have to be taken care of quickly. He needed to tame Naki before his power elevated. It was enough getting the boy’s father. He doubted using the boy’s half brother would work out the same with Naki.

“Out.” The word came out as a low growl, but it was enough for the four people directly near to hear.

Vyjas snapped his fingers at his nobles, his cluster of remaining guards, and the Forest personal staff. He didn’t need to speak.

Corana collected an arm of Vahala and Vyronas, her head tilting towards Cylana, who had to have music playing in her ears. Her daughter had barely blinked. It was a good thing for once, her daughter would wag her tongue out of sheer boredom.

“My Alpha,” she said sweetly, as if Nathan hadn’t forced them to run out of the way. There was no rescuing Valas at the moment. She met her son’s eyes and narrowed them. He’d better tell her everything!

Valas gave a dip of his head, the laughter still threatening to bubble out. The Field’s guards and staff also began to exit with no other words. It was evident the Royals wanted the extras out.

Aiden nodded to his party, his guards leaving, but Catalina and Duval remained. Aiden merely gave them a look, which said he was fine. They both looked at each other, unsure what to think of their King’s behavior.

At Aiden’s eyes commanding them to leave, they also took their exit. Even if they did not like the King’s behavior, they would not challenge his wants in public in front of the other Kings.

Free of any unaware ears, the atmosphere grew heavier. There was a lot to be said, but who would speak first? Of course, the King of Kings did.

“Sega! Reign in your mate! Is this the example that you want to show your future fellow Kings!? Not once has Valas had a spectacle, but you three are an entire fucking circus!”

Naki picked his way over the slide of the drywall, determined not to give Nathan another look. If the man hadn’t gotten his point, then nothing short of a new brain could save him.

Nathan was above all things however, a fighter. He assassinated people at that, so his pride stood highly inflated.

Naki didn’t expect the man’s actions. The grab of his ankle from Nathan’s pitiful place on the ground took his feet from under him, so Naki crashed down backwards. Naki’s back hit the uneven piles of debris and before he could react, Nathan had the flat of the blade on Naki’s neck.
