“Naki, I’m glad you and I can spend time together.”

Naki sat on the edge of the beautiful archway outside of the second floor of the castle. It was a different kind of beautiful right now. They could see the sky and they could feel sunlight. It filtered through the dark above, but the light fought to reign supreme.

“Yeah, I feel the same.” Naki eyed the beautiful lake below. “Sega scared us and demanded everyone’s attention. But what’s new? He’s actually a giant attention-seeking man-child.” He eyed the surrounding scenery. “This place brings me sadness and anger. Void came here three years ago and ripped us apart like we were nothing. I felt so pitiful. Because Void had me, my mates let down their guards.”

Naki eyed the ground as if he could still see the blood. “That monster went inside my love, and moved Sega’s hand to take Aiden’s heart. He tainted their bodies and then took out that big and caring heart like it was trash. I’ve never felt such hatred in my life.”

Leo sat next to Naki, his similar features looking out at nothing. “Void is my biggest mistake, but not my biggest regret. You have become a part of this because I didn’t rid the world of him when I should have. I am still new to my role in this world and have made my mistakes. Letting him near you and your mother is now my biggest regret. Before it was not leaving my duties sooner to come be a family.”
