“My head is throbbing. Why would you let me drink this much? You’re my mates, you’re supposed to stop me. This is why I put rings on you, to keep me tamed.”

Naki smiled at Aiden, rubbing his back while giving Source. “So dramatic. You have a mate that can take away any ailment. All you have to do is ask and you’re griping? You just want to be noticed and spoiled.”

“Is that wrong? Can you blame me?” Aiden practically purred at the feeling tingling up his back. “You have to give me a body massage. I’d melt.”

“Yeah, you’re not on my good list enough for me to rub all over you. That’s my mate, the best and honest man. Currently, you are trying to butter your way back in on a shortcut, kind of man.”

Riel passed them with an intense snicker, and Aiden glared at his best friend. “So I’m not on your good side?”

“Eh, you’re teetering in the middle. I mean, obviously. We’ve had a lot of sex. If you were on my bad side, your dick would know.”

“Naki. My son. Please um, say fewer things like that if I’m in ear shot? I often want to, what’s the word, punch your mates?”

Sega eyed Naki from the side as Leo passed them. “Naki, you better behave. If I’m getting my ass kicked by your dad, it’s going to be because I earned it myself.”

“That’s no better,” Leo sighed. “Are we ready? Thankfully, this time we can just teleport. I won’t bring everyone yet. I will take this group with me first to the Cloud and see if we can convince Kialis to come with her army.”

“Still find it weird that you are the King and we have to go convince your Beta to help us. Shouldn’t your command be enough?”

Leo eyed Valas. “That is not how things are in the Cloud. We vote. We ask about our people’s opinions. We don’t think our decisions are worth their lives and then force them to fight while we lead from a perch of safety. The Cloud educates everyone, and the people understand that just because the threat is not yet in our lands that it won’t come. We know safety and tranquility, but there are many who are willing to keep it that way. Still, the one who has taught them and guided them is the Queen and I have no right to come and take her hard work because of a title. That and she is simply far more strategic than I am. I need to focus on Void and Void only, so I need her command on the fighting field.”
