It's a tale unaltered by time or memory, true to what happened in reality.
We all have read about carefree boy and introvert girl trope penned by authors but how was it in real life ?
As you delve into these pages, at end of my each poetry , I'll s...
It was the middle of the midterm exams at school, and I had to face the dreaded maths exam in two days.
I pleaded with our English teacher at the institute to let me study for it, and she graciously agreed. She was a kind and lovely person, so i knew she would allow me.
But no matter how hard I tried to concentrate on the problems in front of me, I couldn't. I was sitting in the same spot where Aadarsh and I had shared our stories of first love. I wished I hadn't lied to him about having a previous relationship. I hated lying to him.
A week had passed since he left, and I felt the agony of his absence more than ever. The coaching center, which used to be a wonderland of dreams and excitement with him, was now a barren desert of boredom and despair. His presence had been a beautiful illusion that vanished too soon. I missed him terribly, especially here, where everything reminded me of him and what I had lost.
Saara and Dhriti were my lifelines in this time. They understood how much I missed him and they never stopped trying to distract me or cheer me up.
Dhriti proposed that we should skip our classes one day and maybe treat ourselves at the ice cream parlor near our institute. But I quickly dismissed her idea. I had never skipped a class in my life and I would never dare to do such a thing. It was a risky adventure and if my parents ever found out, they would be so disappointed in me.
I spent the last class in the library, replaying all the conversations I had with Aadarsh in my mind and barely solving any problems.
When I met Saara and Dhriti in the main hall, their faces were radiant with joy, but they quickly toned down their smiles when they saw me.
"What's with the grin?" I asked them.
"What else? The last bell is reason enough for us to smile. We're finally free from those annoying lectures and studies," Saara said.
I chuckled softly, knowing she had a point.
We said our goodbyes and got into our vans.
As I looked out of the window, I felt a pang of longing in my chest.
Aadarsh, I wish you were here. This week had been so hard to endure without you. How many more months would I have to suffer before the session ends? I thought, sighing heavily as sadness engulfed me like a dark cloud.
I know this chapter was a snooze-fest of me missing Aadarsh, but you have to cut me some slack. I was a lovesick puppy back then. Haha.
Anyway, I'll reward you with a little spoiler for not the next but the upcoming chapters.
We have a second lead in our story, but the twist is that since my story was written by my stars and not by an author, our second lead was not as cliché and conventional as the ones in dramas or books. He was a little...different.
I can't tell you more than that because it would spoil the fun, but believe me, it was a crazy twist for me too, and one that I'll always remember.
