not about the touch of skin

they wrote about the entwined souls

not like misery spilled in tears

they bleed in ink with a grief beyond control

not about the short lived attraction

they talk about the energies

tragically splitted in two

not to any empty soul

or shallow heart like vices

they will come back home to you

unlike the bones that measure every emotion

they give with hands full not in proportions

not about the love

the poets wrote about devotion

After that eye contact, we both continued walking in opposite directions. I didn't look back and headed towards the washroom. I could still hear the faint noise from our class. He was probably greeting his friends and catching up with them.

As soon as I entered the washroom, I couldn't hold back my tears. I felt ridiculous for crying. I didn't want to cry in that moment, but it seemed like my subconscious had decided that it needed to release some emotions. Thank God I'm not in the class, I thought. It would have been humiliating to act like this in front of everyone. To show them how much I missed him, how much I loved him

I wiped my cheeks to dry them off and washed my eyes, which were stinging from the tears. I took a moment to look at myself in the mirror, hoping my feelings weren't too obvious on my face. I took a deep breath to calm myself down, but I felt a tightness in my chest.

My emotions were a mess, but the only thing that was clear was that wide smile that was almost reaching my ears. I couldn't stop smiling, even though it hurt. I was just so happy that I got to see him again, after missing him so much for one whole week.

That indeed was the most beautiful day of my life.

It felt like a scene from a movie, a miracle unfolding before my eyes when he was standing there in front of me, as if he had never left , leaving me hopeless. I was overwhelmed by a surge of euphoria, a blissful shock that numbed my senses. I couldn't believe he was here, after all this time, after all the tears and longing.

I often wonder, what if he had never come back? What if he had stayed gone, like he said? What if he had never reappeared in my life, after a week of silence and agony?

Would I have moved on by now? Would I have healed from his wound? Would I have forgotten his face, his voice and our first and last touch of hands from that not-so-last goodbye?

I don't know when I fell for him so hard, so deep, that I lost myself in the abyss of his love.

But you know what? As much as it hurts to still miss him, to still ache for him, to still crave him, I would never trade our memories for anything. I would never erase him from my past, even if it meant sparing myself this torment.

Meeting him was the most heavenly and divine moment of my life so far. The emotions he stirred in me, the peace he brought to me, the joy he gave to me, were too precious and intense to let go.

So No, the misery is worth it.

It's worth every feeling he made me feel.
