its beautiful how everything unfamiliar

makes me feel understood

when i feel like lonely tree

in my same genus of woods

a book ,

someones poetry ,

anonymous proses,

soft music and

mozarts piano

i happen to feel more like home

in houses built by people i don't know

It's so achingly beautiful how the poets can write our vulnerability we actively try to hide each day.

As I sat in our first biology lecture, I couldn't help but let a smile spread across my face, thinking about Aadarsh. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Dhriti and Saara exchanging glances and mouthing something to each other.

 "What?" I inquired, curious.

"Nothing," Dhriti said with a laugh.

"You do realize you haven't relaxed your lips for quite some time now," Saara joked, nudging me playfully. "Do biology lectures excite you that much?"

I chuckled, "Yeah, I think it's interesting how the human brain is so complex with all those neurons and different parts of the brain with a variety of functions. Yet yours both seem to be simply made to pay attention to dumb stuff," I said, making a joke and trying not to admit the real reason for my smile.

"Ooh, looks like the quiet girl is taking after us now," Saara said with a chuckle, her eyes crinkling at the corners.

"Proud parents," Dhriti added as she and Saara hugged from the side, wiping away fake tears. Their laughter was infectious and I couldn't help but join in.

I laughed, looking at them. Oh lord, how did I even end up here between them? My heart swelled with gratitude for their friendship, a beautiful bond that i wasn't even familiar with.
