Chapter 14

It was just before lunch the following day and both me and Demi were in my home gym, getting a quick workout in before our matches tonight. We had to be in Tampa for our tonights matches, which was just over an hour and half drive away. I had a match against Dana Brooke and Demi was going to be ring side with the rest of The Judgement Day for a match that Damian Priest was apart of. We spent about an hour in the gym before stopping, showering and changing into comfy clothes. We both got our stuff and the dogs stuff packed prior to grabbing a quick bite to eat and loading up my car with our bags and making sure the dogs were strapped in, comfortable and occupied.

Demi drove us all the way to Tampa, even though I told her we could switch half way. After almost two hours - due to having to stop and let the dogs out a few times - we arrived at the pet friendly hotel we booked for the night. When we were told that we had a show in Tampa, we talked it over and decided it would be best if we spent the night and take the dogs with us instead of traveling back so late at night. We got everything out of the car, headed inside and checked in. Once we were given our room keys, we headed up to get Barry and Luna settled before we headed to the arena.

I was currently sat with Demi and the guys from The Judgement Day in the canteen of the arena, they were talking about their match whilst I was on my phone texting Gunner. Apparently he had flown over to watch my match tonight. He managed to get his hands on a backstage pass so I was waiting for him to get here. A few minutes later, a crew member came up to me to tell me that I had a guest waiting for me in my private locker room. A massive smile broke out onto my face, I jumped up and all but ran there. I slammed the door open and was met with the smiling face of my best friend. I squealed and jumped on him, wrapping my legs around his waist and arms around his neck.

"Gunner. Oh my god I can't believe your here." I say happily, pulling away slightly to look at him. "Yeah kiddo, I'm here." He chuckled setting me back down. I heard a knock on the door that was still partially open and I pulled it open to reveal Rhea, Finn, Damian and Dominik. "Damn girl, I've never seen you move so quickly." Damian pointed out chuckling. "Yeah sorry, It's just I haven't seen Gunner since before I moved here to the US." I reply scratching the back of my neck. We spent a few minutes talking after I introduced everyone to Gunner and to say he was fan girling was an understatement.

It was now time for me to get ready for my match, Gunner had already left to take his place front row in the crowd so all I had to do was get changed into my gear, do my hair and my make-up.

I was doing my final checks in the mirror when Rhea knocked on my door and popped her head in. "Wow, look at you." She said smirking. "Thanks." I reply smiling, "What can I do for you?" I asked. "There are a lot of things you could do for me dressed like that but I was asked to come get you, your match is up next." She says, still smirking and leaning against the door frame. I blush and look away, fixed my lipstick before turning back and following her to the gorilla to wait for my cue.
