Izuku and Hitoshi got the dubious honor of moving into the dorms a few days early. The teachers were getting a whole 3 days to unpack and get settled before they would have to deal with the mess that would come with watching over swarms of teenagers.
They didn't bring everything from the Yamazawa apartment. Mostly just the day to day basics, some of it new duplicates. They planned on spending most weekends and holidays in the apartment in the middle of the city, so they left a lot of things there. Shouta did demand that their new campus dorm have accommodations for the 8 cats though. That was his stipulation for agreeing to the switch in his contract.
Nezu wouldn't give the cats their own room in the name of limited space. The compromise was to make the whole dorm a cat haven. There were climbing spots and tunnels through the walls. And the laundry room was extended slightly to make room for more of the self cleaning litter boxes Aizawa preferred. The two teen boys didn't get their own rooms in the teacher's dorms, they were getting rooms with the other students after all, but Mic made sure to buy the most comfortable pull out couch on the market just in case they needed to stay the night with their fosters.
The two boy's dorms were a bit on the empty side, neither of them really needing a whole lot and therefore leaving most of the extras at the apartment. They did have a few personal touches though. Shinso made sure his floor was well stocked with cushions and bean bag chairs; and had taken Yamada up on the offer of expensive LED light strips to mark the edges of his room and furniture. Izuku had put up some printouts of the blueprints for his favorite gear, thinking that if he stared at them long enough he could come up with more ways to improve them. And had brought his more portable tool box to set up in the corner of his room with a small table so he could tinker when he couldn't sleep.
But other than those and a few other small things they only had to unpack their clothes and dress the beds. So they were done with their spaces within an hour. As soon as his last hoodie was on a hanger Izuku headed upstairs to Hitoshi's room to see if he was finished. The purple boy had the room directly above his own, and according to the seating charts their other paramores would be reasonably close as well, with Shouto in the room two down from Izuku's and Denki next door to Shinso. Izuku just prayed that Todoroki said yes, he didn't want things to get awkward if he said no and they were stuck being on the same floor.
He knocked briefly when he made it to the right door, opening it when he got a responding call. "Hey Toshi. Oh wow! This looks so cool!" His boyfriend was curled up on a pile of pillows on the floor scrolling on his phone as the LED lights filtered through a hundred different shades of blue and green, making the whole room feel like it was an enchanted underwater cave or something.
The other teen shoved his phone in a pocket, stretching out to snag a remote from his desk. "Yeah these are actually really cool. There's a fire theme and a galaxy theme too, as well as more standard ones like rainbow or solid colors."
They spent a few minutes playing with the settings before they decided it was time to go see if their fosters needed help with their own dorm. They had more to unpack after all since they also had to bring their own things for the kitchen shared on each floor of the teachers dorms and things for the cats.
The trek across the greens between the dorm buildings was quick, three minutes or so at a steady pace. Close enough that the teachers would be close enough to help any of the classes in an emergency. This building, unlike their own, was buzzing with activity. The teachers and school robots busy carrying in boxes and furniture.
