One month later

Cayden stood in the doorway of his house horrified by the scene that lay before him. First his personal hell began at a football game, when he lost his cool and started beating the other football player. Then his girlfriend, well now ex-girlfriend is claiming he was a controlling monster who raped her. Now his parents are lying in front of him dead. I have to get the hell out of here. There is no way the police will believe me if I tell them that I didn't do this, Cayden thought to himself before grabbing his bag and running out of the house.

Cayden hitchhiked a ride to the nearest town, where he was dropped off. Cayden made his way into a bar, ordering a drink. Cayden was sitting at the bar minding his business, when someone plopped down in the seat next to him, trying to gain his attention.

"Well, I've never seen you around here before. And I've seen everyone that passes through this town. What brings you this way," the person next to Cayden asked.

"That's because I'm not from this town. I'm not planning on staying here long either," Cayden explained.

"Mind telling me where you're planning on going," The person asked.

"Not sure. Wherever the road leads me I guess," Cayden said before turning to the person next to him. Cayden couldn't help but stare at the man sitting next to him, noticing that he was blind in one eye, which was filmed over.

"Don't I look beautiful," the guy asked. "The name is Crazy Joe."

"Well, crazy Joe, how did you go blind in your one eye," Cayden asked.

Crazy Joe quickly shifted trying to avoid that subject. "Don't you worry about that. It's something that I don't really like talking about anyway."

"Okay," Cayden said before getting up. "I should be making my way out of here. I have yet to see where the road is going to lead me. Maybe I can find a place to settle down and start a new life."

"Before you go, let me give you a little friendly advice," Crazy Joe said causing Cayden to stop. "Never make your way to Lupine Ridge. There are many secrets about that place. If you go snooping around there you will die. If you even so much as go anywhere near Lupine Ridge, keep driving. It's the only way for you to stay alive." Crazy Joe then broke out laughing causing Cayden to jump out of his seat and rush out of the bar. That guy was crazy. I have to get the hell out of here and start making my way to a new place, Cayden thought as he spotted a row of motorcycles lined up. Cayden rushed over and hotwired a motorcycle before driving off making his way down the road to his next destination.

Cayden drove for a bit of time when he looked down at the gas gage on the bike and realized that he needed to stop and get some gas. Cayden stopped outside of a town at the sign reading it, seeing that it was a sign leading into the small, secluded town of Lupine Ridge. I know that crazy guy said not to set foot in this town, but this is the only place around that has a gas station. And if I don't refill this bike soon, I'll be stranded. I'll just go in to get the gas I need and be on my way. I won't stay here too long, Cayden thought as he pulled into Lupine Ridge. Cayden made his way to the gas station, filling the bike and paying for the gas. Cayden was about to walk out but stopped turning around to ask the cashier a question. "Hey, do you know a decent cheap place for me to get a drink around here?"

"Son if you go an' ask that question, then you're obviously not from our quaint little town of Lupine Ridge. We only have one bar here. It's called Angels. You can't miss it. The place knows how to draw in a crowd. It's also owned and run by three young sisters. It's their way of supporting themselves," The cashier said.
