Sorry for not posting sooner! I honestly forgot! I'll try to have something up after this asap.

"So we'll be together? Forever?" I looked at him expectantly. He nodded.

My eyes widened. "So you'll never leave me?! We'll never be apart?"

"Kerri, I wouldn't leave you even of I was human. You're my life." He sighed, shaking his head. "The thought of not being with you breaks my heart."

I bit my lip. He was so romantic.

"Okay and there's more. There are Alphas and Betas. They're like the CEO and CFO of the pack. One has more power than the other but they're both highly respected regardless."

"Are you the Alpha?" He laughed.

"No babe, Sean's older than me so he'll be Alpha when my father steps down. I'll be the Beta."

I nodded. "What else?"

"Laurie will be the Luna. She'll be the female leader of the pack. Sort of like a mother, a guide. If she ever needs help, you'll most likely be helping her out along with other pack women."

"Do I get a special name?" I pouted.

He smirked, "my mate."

I hit his shoulder. "You're full of yourself."

He shrugged his shoulder. "How about a tour of the place?"

The end of the summer was close. Spencer was taking me out on a date.

We pulled up to a deserted field and parked on the gravel. Woven baskets with colorful fabric was connected to them. Hot air balloons?

I looked over at him for confirmation. "Remember when you told me you wanted to go to the moon? This is as close as I can get you to it. The sun was setting and soon the moon would be shining bright.

"Spencer!" I threw myself at him wrapping my toned limbs around his buff body.

He laughed. I could feel the rumble from his chest.

"Get down before I take you right here." He nibbled on my ear.

I wouldn't put it past him so I jumped down.

We went over to the air balloon handler who happened to be a pack member, and he helped me in. It took a while to get it started but once we got going, we progressed quickly.

Spencer held onto my hand firmly and had an arm wrapped around me. Tonight, the stars were shining perfectly.

"This is perfect."

"Just like you," he kissed my cheek. "Will you be my date to Sean and Laur's wedding?"

I laughed. "I'm in it! So are you!"

He shrugged, "I wanted to ask you formerly."

"Yes. I'll be your date."

"I feel like it's going to be hell when you go back to school. I won't be able to see you whenever I want. And I'll have to have someone watching you at all times...."

"Hold up there pal. What are you talking about?"

"You're the Beta's mate, someone from another pack could try and hurt you. That's why I'm at the magazine company. Laurie didn't want to quit so Sean had the person he trusted most, watch her."

"You," I stroked the back of his hand with my thumb. "Who do you trust the most to watch me?"

"Myself," he sighed and rubbed the back of his head. "I don't know who the hell to send."

"Suse and the guys will look out for me."

"They're not as strong as wolves. If a wolf with alpha or beta blood comes after you, you're gone."

"But when you marked me, didn't I get some strength, like Bella in Twilight?" I cringed at my reference; he and I both hated that movie.

"Not as much as a wolf born into the blood. Stell and them would be stronger than you."

He chuckled at my pout, "no offense babe, I'm just telling the truth."

"This is all really degrading, Spencer."

"But they respect you and look up to you so much that you have nothing to worry about." He hugged me. "You and Laurie are their big sisters."

I smiled against his chest, "I think that might be why I've always adored them. They're like the little sisters I've never had. I have a family now."

Spencer held me right and kissed my forehead. "Yeah. You do, baby girl."
