Im sorry guys! If it sounds incomplete thats because IT IS!!
Spencer
After the park, the girls and I went back home. While they watched a movie, I went for a quick run. My feet pounded against the forest floor, and my heard banged in my ears. I wasn't syre if Kerri was my mate but I sure as heck wanted her to be.
I so wanted that kiss tonight. I'm not going to complain because I respect Kerri's morals but I'm aching to kiss her, and we just met yesterday. How will I make it to our next date if I can barely deal now? What is this girl doing to me? I ran harder making a full loop around the pack's labd until I arrived home.
"Call her," Sean sat down on the couch next to me.
"Huh?"
"I'm tired of hearing about your dilemma and brainless chatter. Just call the girl already."
"How'd you feel when you met Laurie?"
"Like I met the woman of my dreams." He smiled and then smirked sort of biting his lip. "Laurie don't talk like that," he said out loud with a somewhat husky voice. Oh gross, I wonder what she's 'saying' to him.
I love how Laurie can still get his attention when she's not even around. That's one of the things that I actually know about mating. The bond that you have with your mate is intense. You can hear what they're saying to other people, and what they're thinking. Of course you can always block your mate out if you want but the fact that another person can tell what you're thinking and feeling is incredible.
"I'm going to Laurie's I'll be back later," Sean got up off the couch and nearly ran away. "Don't wait up," he yelled. "And call the girl!"
I sighed and picked up my phone. It was pretty advanced and with my job, when a better, trendier one comes out, I get a discount on it.
"Kerri?"
"Hello dear, this is Barbara, Kerri's mother."
"Oh, hello Mrs. Crosswell,is Kerri around."
"Yes just one moment."
Clearly, I heard the rustling around as Barbara handed off the phone, and Kerri's excitement as she grabbed the phone away from her mom. I also heard her mom ask if I was cute, and heard Kerri definitely respond with a positive answer.
In fact it was 'he's so freaking sexy Mom!'. That boosted my ego tons. If i heard it from anyone else, it wouldn't have made me feel as cool as when Kerri said it.
"Spencer?" She sounded calmer than she was before.
"Hey Kerri, what's going on?"
"I'm making doughnuts."
"How do you do that?"
"Umm..." she stalled and I could hear whispering in the background. "Come over and I'll show you?" Kerri's voice hitched at the end making it sound like a question.
Man oh man. She's absolutely hot there's no doubt about that, but she's cute as well. Together, savory and sweet can make a man go crazy I promise you.
"Sorry was that too forward?"
I cleared my throat, "no, you're good, one of my sisters was doing something stupid."
"Oh okay Spencer," I wonder if she can tell that I lied to her. It was stupid of me to lie over something so minor but what should I have told her instead: 'Yeah I'd love to come over and have you show me a thing or two' or better yet 'How about you show me more'?
Eh, no. I needed a minute to recover from such a bold move.
"Would your mom mind? It's pretty late." It was eleven and it would take me about a half an hour to get into the city.
"Nah, she's cool with it."
"I'll come over. What's your address?"
I wrote down her address on a spare piece of paper and made my way to the front door. Starting up my car, i pulled out our gravel driveway and headed towards the very front gates of the reserve.
I didn't expect anything out of tonight except being entertained by Kerri and her sassy friend Susie. The two of them seemed like fun trouble together. Damien and I are the same way, finding ourselves in bad positions, and having a heck of a time trying to get out. One timr in school, we pulled the fire alarm and while everyone was outside, we ran around the school knocking over trash cans and making a mess. It was stupid but way fun at the time. The punishment that we got from the principal and our parents wasn't very fun though, but you gotta live while you can.
My Jeep hummed as I zoomed down the mostly deserted highway towards Glendale that was about fifteen minutes away from Los Angeles.
At her home, I rang her doorbell once waiting for her answer.
"Spencer!" she opened the oak door with blue pajama bottoms and a tank top on.
"Hey stranger," I was itching to touch her. We haven't known each other for long, so I didn't know if it would be acceptable for me to hug her. I didn't want to make her uncomfortable.
Kerri reached out and grabbed my hand, beginning to play with my fingers.
She pulled on my hand and I followed her inside.
"So what made you start to make doughnuts so late at night?"
"Susie and I wanted a sugar rush so we got some rolls of biscuits out of the fridge and started making them."
Kerri kept messing with my fingers. I find it really amusing. Watching her fingers move against mine and tug and pinch my fingers is funny.
"How are your hands so warm? It's the best," she grinned.
Kerri showed me too the kitchen where her mom and Susie were busy making doughnuts and what looked like margharitas. What an interesting match, margheritas and doughnuts.
Kerri pointed out her mother and Susie, I smiled waving.
"Hey ladies," I smirked.
