Kenzie's POV:

Two weeks. Two weeks was all it took for us to get packed, stuff sold that we didn't want to take, and the other apartments rent paid. To say we were ready to move would be an understatement.

Today is moving day. We're loading up our cars with boxes, and a moving truck with bigger things like the dressers. Eli and Dravon brought their stuff to Miles's apartment so we aren't running all over town to get their stuff packed.

Cathy and I are deep cleaning both Miles and mine apartment, the guys are loading the vehicles with stuff, and the kids are watching movies on their iPads.

"So am I following you guys there?" Cathy asks me, and I shrug.

"I think so. I don't know what the guy's plans are. If you do follow us, you and Jazzy can stay the night since it'll be late when we finish unloading everything, and then come back tomorrow or whenever y'all want to leave." I tell her, and she nods.

"You know, it's gonna be so weird without you guys here." She confesses to me, and I look at her confused. "When y'all are here, I know that if anything were to happen to any of you that I could be here in under ten minutes, but now you guys are moving hours away, and if anything happens then it'll take me a while to get there." She tells me.

"I understand that, but we'll have each other, and we'll check in with you daily. And I know the guys are planning on coming down here twice a month to spend time with you and Jazzy, and you can count on Kinsler and I being there with them." I try to comfort her.

She sighs, "Yeah, but if anything happens, then I can be there to run to you guys. I no longer have two kids, I now have six, and I'll continuously worry about you guys being so far away." I roll my eyes playfully, and turn on the vacuum.

Don't get me wrong, I love Cathy and I definitely see her as a mother figure, and I totally understand her being worried about us being so far away, but we'll have each other and we're going to be responsible enough to keep safe.

Not to mention, I've been taking care of my own for months now,and no one has died. Also the guys have been a part of what I've taken care of. I get her worrying as a mother. I really do, but she acts like we're across the world.

"Yo! We're almost done moving stuff out of Miles's apartment. We'll let you know when everything's out, and help clean it up." Dravon tells us from the door of my apartment, and we yell okay back.

"I think they are excited to move or something. It's only been three hours, and I honestly expected it to take longer with how much stuff everyone had." Cathy confesses, and I laugh.

We're all excited for this move. It's a fresh start, a breath of fresh air, and an escape from life as we know it. This will allow us to make our own story, and get away from the one that has already been written for us.

As we finish up cleaning my apartment, I find a box in one of the drawers in the kitchen. Pulling the little box out, I run through my mind thinking of why I would have put a little box down there, but as I open it, I realize I never put a box in there. When the box is finally open, I let out a sigh and light laugh. It's all my moms jewelry, everything she ever owned.
