Song: As It Was- Harry Styles
Whats coming is better than what's gone
—————-Miles's POV:
It's been a week since the kids have graduated, now they are out of school, and we are preparing for our graduation. Also today, Dravon is finally telling us his idea he had at the diner when Eli told us he might go to Canyon City college.
Dravon gathered all of us on Kenzie's couch, and said not to interrupt him while he tells us his plans.
"Okay, the kids are busy, and I have maybe an hour to tell my idea, so here it goes." He says, and pauses. "Since us three all got accepted into Canyon City college, why don't we save enough money, and get an apartment together? A four bedroom for now, and then when we have enough money, we can move into our own." He says, and stops again.
"If we go together, then no one has to worry about getting separated or replaced, and we can split the cost of everything." He says, and Kenzie raises her hand. "Yes?" He asks.
"What about Kinsler? He'd be going to school by himself. He needs Jazzy, they are best friends." She states, and him to think for a minute.
"Umm, I'll think about that, and let you know." He says, and she nods. I raise my hand, and he rolls his eyes. "Yes Miles?" He asks, and i huff.
"What about your mom and Jazzy? You watch Jazzy practically everyday." I tell him, and he sighs.
"Okay, so maybe I haven't worked out all the details. But think guys, if we all accept their offer, we can all stay together!" He exclaims, and we nod.
"We hear you Dra, and aren't saying no. There are just some things we need to work out. Jobs, school for Kinsler, place to live, how your mom will be able to care for Jazzy while working, and not to mention who pays what." Kenzie justifies, and he nods.
"I didn't think about any of that. Let's figure it out soon. I thought about what Eli said, and I agree. You guys are my family, and I don't want us separated." He says, and we nod.
"We get that, but we still have to think logically. We're not going to go to college, and go our own ways. We're all each other have, so none of us are going anywhere." I tell him, and he nods.
This isn't going over so well. As much as I love the idea of all of us living together, there's so many things that need to be ironed out.
"What if I convince my mom to move with us? Then Jazzy and Kinsler will go to the same school, if my mom needs me then she's in the same town as me, and we can all live together!" Dravon declares, and we shake our heads no.
"You can't ask your mom to move her job for us." I tell him, and stop for a minute. "What if the three of us move, Kenzie stays here, and we do as we told Eli." I offer, and he shakes his head no.
"It won't be the same unless we're all there. I'll kidnap Jazzy, and enroll her in school. Then Kenz, you and Kinsler can live with us! The kids can share a room until they are older, and then when they reach that age we'll buy or rent a house with enough bedrooms." He states, and we look at him.
He drops his head into his hands. "Ugh! Come on guys, help me out here! I'm trying to make our family work!" He expresses, and Kenzie rubs his back.
