We arrived at the airport a few minutes later. I still felt happy after our little dance party in the car. Chris stopped the car in front of the airport. Jimmy was already waiting for our arrival. Chris, Karl and I left the car and pulled my luggage out of the trunk. Karl pulled me into a hug. "Good luck.", he whispered into my ear and released me afterwards. He gave me a cheerful smile before Chris pulled me right into another hug. "Have fun, don't forget the condoms.", he said. We released the hug and I playfully hit his arm. "Idiot.", I laughed. I went over to Jimmy and stood next to him while Chris and Karl reentered the car. We both waved them goodbye as Chris drove them off. After they left our sight, I turned myself to Jimmy. "Ready for the flight?", he asked. I nodded and wanted to grab my luggage. But Jimmy was way faster and already grabbed my suitcase and his own. I rolled my eyes. "Still being a gentleman?", I asked him. "Yes and I will never stop that", he grinned. I once again rolled my eyes but couldn't stop a little smile appearing on my lips. Then the both of us entered the airport.
After we checked in our luggage and went through the security check, we still had some time left until the boarding should start. We decided to grab something to drink at the airport's coffee shop. We sat down with our coffees. "I'm happy that we finally talked about everything.", I broke the silence between us. "Yeah, me too. I'm really sorry for being such a dork.", he answered. "And thanks for accompanying me at the event." "Well, I couldn't let you go there on your own and embarrass yourself.", I joked. "Hey! I'm not that bad of a dancer! Because I had an amazing dance teacher.", he winked at me. "You trained with someone else than me?", I tried to stay serious. He gave me a judgmental look. "Just kidding, I know that I'm amazing.", I flipped my hair over my shoulder arrogantly. But I couldn't maintain the seriousness and started laughing. "You're a dork, Keira.", Jimmy smiled at me. "Not as much as you.", I responded and grinned. We finished our coffee and headed to our terminal for the boarding process.
We entered the plane and took our seats. Of course, Jimmy booked us seats in the business class, I thought. Will I ever get used to this? Did I have to get used to this? I still didn't know what was going on between Jimmy and me. Were we really dating? I decided to ask him in a calm moment when we would have reached our destination. I decided to take a nap during the flight.
I woke up as Jimmy carefully shook me. "Keira, we are landing in a few minutes.", he whispered. I slowly opened my eyes, realizing my head was resting on his shoulder. "Sorry.", I mumbled and sat up straight. "Stop saying sorry for sleeping on my shoulder. I thought it was kinda cute.", he laughed. I gave him a smile. The plane landed and we left to pick up our luggage. Once we got everything, we left the airport. A driver was already waiting there for us. We entered the car after our luggage was all tucked away. During the ride I turned my head to the window to look at the city we had arrived at: LA.
A few minutes later we arrived at the hotel. We left the car and grabbed our luggage. Jimmy thanked the driver and gave him a huge tip. Of course, Jimmy and his money. I smiled. Jimmy was always generous instead of spending tons of money on himself. We both entered the hotel and Jimmy grabbed the keys at the reception. We took the lift all up to our room. He opened the door and led me in. The room was furnished with modern and expensive looking stuff. At the left wall stood a king size bed. "Uhm.. I hope you're fine with sharing a bed? Otherwise, I can get us separate rooms.", he said, nervously scratching the back of his head. "No, it's fine.", I answered. The bed was pretty big and we already shared a bed once. We were drunk at that time, but it shouldn't be a problem sober.
We decided to rest a bit before we had to get ready for the event. "I'm so nervous about the event.", I said honestly. "But you're an amazing dancer?!!", he exclaimed. "That's not the problem. It's just... there are a bunch of people and we are going there together as... I don't know. What are we even?", I sighed. "Well, I already told you that I like you a lot. I want to take you on a bunch of dates because you definitely deserve to be taken out. I really, really, really want you to become my girlfriend but you deserve some dates before becoming a dork's girlfriend.", he smiled at me. "So, dating it is?", I smiled back at him. "Dating it is.", he nodded smiling. "Let's get some champagne to celebrate that you are dating an idiot now.", he suggested and decided to call the room service. After the bottle arrived, we both stood in front of the little table in the right corner of the room. He poured champagne into the glasses and handed me one of them. "Champagne in a hotel room? This seems familiar.", I grinned. "Well, let's hope that this time no phone call interrupts us.", he whispered as he moved closer to me and slowly grabbed my face with his free hand. I closed my eyes as soon as our lips connected and it felt like a thousand butterflies started dancing rock'n'roll in my stomach.
