Olivia walked sassily to her father's office. Being that many months in her pregnancy she looked like a waddling penguin. She didn't seem to care though because the smile on her face said otherwise. Ever since she exposed the Williams everyone in the family had been on her to ask about how she found out.
The man had been brooding in his office all the time and when he wasn't he was in his room trying to convince his wife not to divorce. The kids didn't care though, they were grown and really it was good that their parents were to go their separate ways, it was about time
"Good evening father," she said making herself comfortable on the couch, her legs settling on the small ottoman before it.
"Olivia, are you here to scold me again?" the man asked rubbing his palm on his face. He looked homeless. He had not officially taken the company from his son but he had dived into finding any loopholes in the company, firing anyone who had conspired against him.
"Not exactly, am here to keep you company," She said a smile on her face. A taunting smile. Her father sighed. The only time Olivia spent time with him she wanted something and he was sure this time was no different. He stood up and walked to where Olivia was seated comfortably.
"You need a shower...
"Olivia we both know you want something, and since the police arrested the Williams you've been keeping me company. Maybe it's time to actually tell me what you want," Roger said sitting down beside his daughter. Olivia looked at him as if reading his thoughts. She took her legs off the ottoman and faced him the smile disappearing from her face. It was coming
"Have Logan run the company again," she didn't miss a word. The entire family knew that although Logan despised it, he took after his father in the business gene. Jack would run the company but it'd go bankrupt in a few years mostly because of his spending and letting the people do what they want. Roger knew that as well but he was afraid of admitting it. He had been hard on his son, pushing him to do what he wanted even after completely giving him the company. He didn't give him a chance to breath and most of all he pushed him to marry Colette just so he could benefit from her father's assets. Well that went well and apparently, the people who were to add in funds to the company were actually stealing from it
"Olivia...
"You're old dad," That took Roger by surprise but it didn't take long. Olivia was a blunt woman and said things as they were. "You should be focusing on enjoying the money you've made and let the young ones do all the work. And even though you were to take the company, you wouldn't last long because of all the fatigue and meetings and dealing with people...
"But...
"Apologize to Logan, we all know he deserves that and hand him the company. He's ran it for years now and we've been making profits and the whole Williams scenario wouldn't have happened if not for you. So really the scandal was your fault. It didn't bring any much loses but you had to pay media companies thousands just to not get the story published. Imagine what would have happened if the headlines hit the first page of the paper...
"Logan will not speak to me," he spoke before Olivia went on taunting him. He'd already thought through all that. If the news got out then all his investors would pull out and without them then the company would crumble to dust in a few months
"I'll call him and also he has a girlfriend now, someone he actually loves so even as you hand him the company be ready to accept Lisa. She's who has been holding him up even after your pressure," she said trying to stand up. Roger helped her up
"Think about it, without Logan then the company is just as good as dead," she says finally and walks out leaving a distraught Roger to work on his thoughts. He knew he had to apologize but he wasn't sure where to start. Maybe Olivia was going to put in a good word for him and even though it was hard for him to admit it, he knew in the back of his mind that he needed Logan and the only way to get him back was to apologize
