Chapter Fifteen

LOGAN SMITH

I sit in my office trying to figure out everything that has happened...I am cheating on my fiancee and am not feeling even an itsy bit of regret. Infact am loving it and I want it but I can't keep on doing this to both of them. I have to let go of Colette and I have to make sure that Lisa is with me on this

I trust her. I see the way she looks at me and I have no doubt that I want to be the one I share my life with. I could have never thought I would be so whipped up by any of Ella's nanny but she's different

She has this bright smile that even with the deepest of thoughts it is gonna make you forget most of your problems. She makes sure she's not nosy but tries to help you with the problem at hand. Her blue eyes scream beauty and looking at them everyday is not enough for me. She is beautiful... everything about her is beautiful now who could be a fool and let such an angel go. Am not going to do that so am just going to face my family and tell them that am not going through with the engagement
Geez man... it's only a few month and you're already like this

My trance is broken by a knock on the door. Matt comes in holding a file in his hand and by the way his glasses have fallen to almost the tip of his nose I know he has something important to talk about

"Have a seat Matt," I say gesturing to one of the seats in front of my desk
"Now what seems to be the issue?"

I lean my elbows on the desk as he settles and goes through the file

"Well sir, I found out that the one stealing the money is depositing it in five different accounts. And they're all in different countries. It was hard to figure this out but I did and almost every Tuesday he makes sure...or she I don't know..." He stutters finding the right pronoun to use

"Just go on Matt," I say making sure not to scare him.

"Well he makes sure that on every Tuesday he deposits a small amount of money probably so that no one will question him but the thing is all bank accounts show an increase every Tuesday and there's no way someone is gonna fly to different states on the same day just to deposit money,"

"So you're saying that that bastard is working with like five other people?" I ask and he nods
"Hand me the file,"

I say my anger trying to get the best of me but I push it away. The last thing I want is another broken computer and a PA who wants to quit. I look through the file thoroughly noticing that the figures are not clear yet and the graph showing the increase in the bank accounts is only increasing by a small amount. I am dealing with a clever person here but is so foolish to leave small clues like this

"Matt how did you figure out the banks?" I ask

"Well sir, it's easy to figure out where most money goes. So I just asked from the accounts department and they gave me all files of money usage and figured that when most money is either going to the employees and other companies there's a part of it that is being withdrawn but it has not been listed on any files," he says confidently. He's a good kid, maybe that's how Kira figured out that someone must be really having fun doing this

"You're a good boy Matt, you can have the rest of the day off and tomorrow arrive as late as you like," I say and he smiles

"Thank you so much sir," he says quickly

"But before you do that schedule a meeting with the accounts department for two in the afternoon, we have a lot to discuss," He looks at me thoughts running through his mind
"Don't worry boy, I have all the information I need in this files so don't worry,"

"Okay sir," he says

"And tell them to make sure that the company's budget is up to date before the meeting time... okay," I say and he nods slowly pushing his glasses up the tip of his nose
