Logan was nervous as hell as he walked into his father's house. He had sent him a short message asking him to be back home and he knew the minute he went back he'd be stripped off his position. He was ready and with all the reassurance from Lisa he could make it out that meeting. He took a deep breath as he parked his car, Olivia was standing at the entrance a sad smile plastered on her face.
"Are you about to shit your pants?" She asks when Logan approached her
"You have no idea," he replied as he hugged her. He'd had a good relationship with his sister and he loved her to bits. Olivia had been constantly calling since the last time he had been in his father's house, sometimes she called to check up on him and sometimes they just sat quiet as both of them did their work. Her relationship with Lisa was also growing and Logan was realizing what a bad idea it was to introduce both of them. They were unstoppable
One time he'd found them gossiping on the phone and never got to know what the tea was about, it was probably about him and Olivia was snitching and embarrassing him to the woman he loved. He felt good though, her constant pestering was helping both of them cope with the oncoming situation
"Come on... we've all got your back," she said her hand falling on his shoulder leading him in. He could feel the change in aura as he walked in. It was silent and he hated it. It wasn't that hard to just tell him he'd been disowned but his father was a formal person. All this because he chose to marry someone he loved rather than someone his father picked out for him to help in the business endeavors. The only reason he was marrying Colette was to improve the relationship between their companies and he had nothing else to do with his life so he just went with it. But then Lisa came into his life, he had never fallen so hard for a woman sometimes he thought it was just an infatuation but it wasn't. He was head over heels for the woman and if it meant losing the company just to have her in his life then he'd do it. He would sort his life out afterwards
"Logan," His brother calls a smile on his face. Jack was initially the one to take over the company but he was hard headed and refused to do something he didn't want so Logan took over. His brother was always one to only live in the moment, he partied alot and made it his mission to travel around the world. They barely talked but they still kept the brotherly bond
Jack walked towards him pulling him into a tight hug. "I've got you little bro," he whispers patting his back and he smiles at him. He had no idea why everyone was telling him that but he hoped that they'd help him when his father started snapping at him
"All of you sit, we don't have all the time in the world," the man bellows his voice filling the room
"Don't you speak to us like that Roger!!" Their mother snapped back glaring at him. To say that they were all shocked was an understatement. Their mother never talked back to the man, she just went with whatever the man said and it didn't matter if it was wrong or not she just never spoke up
"Come Logan, give your mother a hug," she adds standing from her seat. Logan strode slowly to her and she wrapped her small arms around him pulling him in tightly. She smiled softly and let go kissing her cheek
"Hello mother," she smiled sadly and replied to her son's greeting with a soft hello. They had alot to talk about and Logan knew that but for this situation he was gonna ignore everything and focus on the task at hand
He looked around the table spotting the other faces. Colette was sending glares at him but he didn't care and her father was sat emotionless looking at him. He wanted to know what the man was thinking but with how stoic his face he couldn't get anything. He didn't offer them a greeting instead he sat between his sister and brother and waited for his father to start the meeting
"This is not gonna take long, I just want Logan to sign some documents....
"You're really not gonna marry me?" Colette interrupts
"Do you know well my father will help with that Tech company? He'd have millions coming in from all over...
"Colette settle down!" Roger said slamming his palm on the table
"Actually dad let her speak. I have a few secrets I want to expose," Olivia said her usual mischievous grin playing on her lips. Everyone looked at her with inquisitive faces but she just smiled
"What are you talking about?" Colette asked but never got an answer instead Olivia just stood up her protruding belly making her walk out funny. After a while of silence at the table she walked back in a box in her hand
"To answer your question dear Colette am gonna take out this little burner phone and this papers right here," she started taking everything out of the box as she said it's name
"I may be heavily pregnant but am still the family genius. Today we're gonna solve two issues. One being this bullshit with father trying to disown the only son who can run his business," her father looked at him but didn't say a word so she just went on
"And two, Logan remember how we were looking for the loophole for the money getting lost from the company," Logan nodded and Olivia turned her gaze to Colette who for some reason had gone pale. Her father had sat up taking a comfortable position as he listened
"Colette sweetie should I go on or are you gonna speak?" Olivia asked. Her eyes were still on the blonde woman who was fidgeting on her seat. She bit her lip not wanting to look away and sighed
"I have no idea what you're saying," she says after a few seconds of the stare down. Olivia laughs and looks at the others, they all seemed curious but none of them asked any questions even their father who had been interrupted a while back
"If you're not willing to talk then let's call Levi," immediately the name was out of her lips Colette coughed out loud her eyes widening. Olivia smirked.
"Did I say something familiar?"
"Olivia stop dragging this we're not in some kind of action movie. What's going on?" Jack asked finally
"You had to ruin my moment you stupid fuck...
"Language!!" Their mother cut in, "But really Olivia what are you going on about?"
"Colette is a pesky little thief and her mannequin of a father is in on it." She said and everyone turned to look at the two.
"You can't just accuse me...
"Oh save it, your father has no millions to offer the company. He's broke almost bankrupt and the only way he could get back up was having you part of the family." Olivia butted in. Colette was fuming and her father looked like a deer caught in the headlights
"Williams what is all this?" Mr. Roger finally asked
First of...I don't know if I had mentioned that Jack was the older brother but he is. Also I had mentioned that Logan had green eyes in the first episodes and then forgot and changed to brown eyes so to rectify that he's got brown eyes
This book is almost coming to an end and am excited!!
