Harry's pov
Louis, Jean, and I walked hand in hand down the street, on our way home. The house was on the outskirts of town so it took about a five minute walk to get there. With the weather quickly warming us, I was worried Jean would become too hot. But she surprised Louis and I both by nearly bounding the whole way. She had a skip in her step and she never ran out of things to say. She talked about...well, to be honest, I am not entirely sure what she talked about; most of it sounded like excited babbling to me. She was so adorable, I almost could not handle it.
As we turned the corner into our driveway, we saw everyone standing out in the yard in front of the house. Liam, Zayn, and Martha held a homemade banner that said, Welcome home, Jean! Niall cuddled Matthew to his chest while Matthew chewed on his teddy bear. Queeny sat by Niall's feet and Rosie stood behind them all. Jean gasped at the sight of Rosie, "Ephalent!" Jean squealed and pointed at her.
"Yes, dear." Louis picked Jean up and seated her on his hip, "The elephant's name is Rosie." He said softly.
"Rosie?" She repeated in awe.
"Yep," Louis nodded, "And all those people are your new family." He informed her and kissed the side of her head.
"Famy?" She looked at Louis with her eyes wide and Louis nodded smiling. Apparently Jean knew what the word family meant because it seemed to make her very happy.
My heart swelled at all of them for doing this for Jean. They had all been so supportive and loving toward Louis, Matthew, and I. I could not ask for better people to call my friends — to call my family. Louis and I ran the rest of the way making Jean giggle and squeal. We reached everyone and started hugging them all. Everyone was cooing over Jean immediately. It was very easy to love her. Thankfully, Jean was not shy either, she willingly accepted all the attention she was getting from everyone. Martha was so excited to have another girl in the house and I was happy for both Jean and Martha because Jean needed some sort of female influence in her life. Louis and I certainly could not help her with certain problems to come in her life like growing up and boys and — Oh, gosh, boys. She'll be dating someday! No, no, no. Harry she is only three, stop freaking out! "Harry, darling?" Louis pulled me out of my thoughts. I guess I had been worrying too much because Louis and I were the only ones outside. "You coming inside?" He asked and I nodded. I looked up at the house and I looked at Louis, I started thinking about how beautiful my life had become. My eyes started welling up and a tear slipped down my cheek. "Sweetheart, what's wrong?" Louis pulled me close to him by my hips and thumbed the tear away. "No tears, love." He said and kissed my cheek. "Why are you sad?"
"No," I said and hugged him, "I'm happy. Louis, I'm so so happy." I told him. "Our life has turned out so wonderful. Our house, our kids, our family — our beautiful, beautiful family." I held his face and looked deeply into his eyes. "I love you so much." I leaned in and kissed him.
"I love you too." He smiled against my lips then pulled away because Rosie started hitting our faces with her trunk. "We love you too, Rosie!" Louis laughed. "Let's go inside, baby." He took my hand and led me inside the house. Everyone was in the living room, Liam and Zayn sitting on the sofa with Queeny stretched across their laps, Niall was on the floor with Matthew on one leg and Jean on the other, and Martha was sitting on the sofa admiring them all.
"Ni Ni!" Jean squealed out.
"Ooh! My official name!" Niall exclaimed, making us laugh. I had never seen him more full of life than he was with Jean and Matthew.
"Let's see if I get a name!" Zayn said and picked up Jean. "Come here, Jeanie bean!" Jean squealed. "My name's Zayn." He smiled.
"Zay!" Jean exclaimed making Zayn smile proudly.
