Fairytale

"Y/n"! Elena shouts for her little sister to come downstairs.

"I'm coming" Y/n says back but no one can hear her as she walks down the stairs with her nose in a book.

"Another fairytale" Elena asks Y/n.

"Yeah.." Y/n sighs.

"Hey what's wrong" Elena asks her sister concerned.

" I'm fine" Y/n says but Elena knows better to believe that she's okay but she decides to let it go.

"Hey baby sis" Jeremy says walking over to Y/n ruffling her hair.

"HEY Jer"! Y/n complains fixing her hair.

"Hey Elena what's your plans today?" Jeremy asks.

" Well.. me and Y/n are going to go see Stefan to go hangout at the grill" Elena replies.

"I didn't agree to go with you and Stefan" Y/n says.

"Come on Y/n you haven't gone to the grill in weeks and Stefan misses you.. please?" Elena begs with her famous puppy dog eyes.

"Okay fine but only because I miss Stefan too" Y/n states.

"So what's happened in that book of yours?" Elena asks Y/n as Jeremy leaves the house to see Bonnie.

"The main character Julie meets this guy named Lio in a bookstore and it's love at first sight I guess" Y/n shrugs her shoulders continuing to read her book.

"Oh so it's a romance book?" Elena asks with a smirk and her eyebrows raised.

"Yeah why?" Y/n asks looking at her confused.

"Oh no reason, just thinking" Elena shrugs with a small smirk.

"Just because I read romance books doesn't mean it will happen to me Elena, this is the real world that's stuff doesn't happen" Y/n shakes her head chuckling.

" Well we never would have thought that vampires are real and now I'm one and most of the town are along with witches,werewolves,vampire hunters,travelers,and originals.. wow that list seems to get longer every time" Elena laughs.

Y/n laughs and goes upstairs to get her purse, camera and journal to leave with Elena to go see Stefan.

Elena is a little worried about Y/n because of all the chaos that's always happening around them and how Y/n's in danger all the time being so close with all different occults. Elena has been like a parent to Y/n since Jenna died a year ago.

Elena always feels bad for Y/n because her and Elena were in the car when their parents got in the accident which left Y/n with a permanent scar on her left hip that is faded but still there. Elena didn't get any scars but she is scarred with loosing her parents and seeing her sister scream and cry for their parents.

As Elena is lost in her thoughts and memories Y/n comes down the stairs with all the things she needs.

"Elena?" Y/n calls out to her.

"Yeah" Elena looks over out of her daze.

"I thought you being a vampire made all of your senses way better?" Y/n laughs.

"It does I was just lost in thought, but we should go Stefan's probably waiting for us" Elena says.

Elena and Y/n get into the vehicle and leave to the grill to meet up with Stefan. Elena always drives because
Y/n has a fear of driving since their parents accident but Elena doesn't mind driving and usually Y/n walks everywhere.
