The Youngest Gilbert (New Rewrite)

Moving Day

8 months have passed, Y/n and Damon were more serious. Damon had asked her to move in with him which she agreed to and Stefan moved into the Gilbert house with Elena and Jeremy.

"Y/n these boxes are all packed" Elena says motioning to three boxes all taped near the door to Y/n's bedroom.

"Thanks El I don't know what I would've done without you" Y/n says smiling at Elena.

"Hey you still have us" Caroline says pointing at herself, Rebekah and Bonnie.

"I know thank you I don't know what I would do without any of you" Y/n smiling at them.

"Of course we're going to help, you are one of our best friends" Caroline says smiling.

"Hey girls how's the packing?" Jeremy asks coming into Y/n's bedroom.

"It's going well we packed most of Y/n's things" Bonnie says smiling.

"Good Damon and Stefan should be here soon to pick up the boxes" Matt says walking into the bedroom too grabbing a few boxes to bring downstairs.

"I don't know what we would've done without your muscles" Caroline says rolling her eyes at Matt.

Everyone laughs as Matt walks away to bring the boxes downstairs. Jeremy grabs a few boxes too and brings them downstairs.

"I can't believe you're moving in with Damon" Caroline says excitedly.

"Well I'm always there anyways so Damon just asked and I said yes" Y/n says shrugging.

"You're moving in with a guy Y/n" Caroline says.

"I'm well aware Damon is a guy" Y/n says laughing at Caroline's reaction.

"Y/n I'm being serious this is really serious you guys are taking your relationship to the next level" Caroline says smiling excitedly.

"Care I know I love him, he loves me, we want to live together" Y/n says continuing packing more boxes.

"I'm happy for you Y/n nobody deserves this as much as you do" Bonnie says smiling at Y/n.

"Thanks Bon" Y/n smiling back.

"I'm happy for you too Y/n, you guys seem really happy" Rebekah says smiling.

"Thanks Becca and we are really happy" Y/n says smiling.

"I'm happy for you too I just can't believe your first boyfriend is Damon and you're moving in with him" Caroline says smiling widely.

"Thanks Care and sometimes I can't believe it either" Y/n says smiling.

"I'm very happy for you Y/n that you met someone but I will miss you here" Elena says with tears in her eyes smiling at Y/n.

Y/n walks over to Elena and hugs her tightly.
"Thanks El and I'll miss you too" Y/n says hugging her tightly as a tear runs down her cheek.

Y/n let's go of Elena and smiles at her as Elena wipes her little sister's tears away smiling at her.

Later in the day The group left finished with the packing.

Y/n sits on the steps of the Gilbert house thinking about the memories she's made there.

She thinks about her parents and Jenna smiling remembering the family movie nights they had with their parents in the living room.

She laughs remembering when Jenna and her tried cooking something almost burning down the kitchen.

All the laughter, tears, family, friends and love that happened in that house brings a smile to her face as tears stream down her face.

She is moving on by moving in with Damon and starting a new chapter in a new home.

She looks at the house and smiles as she uses her powers to make flowers bloom on the lawn.

She looks around her new home smiling at the new memories she's had there with Damon, happy she decided to move in and excited to decorate it which Damon said she could do with him.

She is lost in thought as Damon comes over standing behind her wrapping his arms around her and resting his chin on her shoulder.

"Regretting it already?" Damon asks smirking.

"No I'm happy I'm here with you" she smiles up at him.

Damon kisses her smiling as they pull away.

"I love you" Damon says smiling.

"And I love you" she says smiling.

Damon still hugging her from behind with his arms wrapped around her comfortably.
They smile looking at their home that they have together.
