The Argument

Y/n wakes up in the Salvatore House where she has been staying to control her abilities. She looks around her room that's covered in vines with white flowers draping across the ceiling creeping down the walls around her.

She rests her chin on her knees sighing and thinking about Jenna and what she would think Jenna would think about her abilities.

Looking around the room not seeing any rain from her crying as she lets out a thankful sigh that she's able to control her powers.

She gets ready in a white dress and walks downstairs to the living room to see Damon sitting in the arm chair.

"Oh hi Damon good morning" Y/n says smiling nervously.

"Hello Sunshine good morning" Damon says smirking.

"What are your plans today?" Damon asks.

"I don't know Elena will probably want to do something" Y/n says smiling.

"Oh yes Elena your other bodyguard" Damon says smirking.

"She just wants to keep me safe" Y/n says nervously.

"Yes I've been told" Damon says with a laugh.

"Yeah she's protective but not as much as Jer" Y/n says sighing jokingly.

"Yeah he definitely is worse" Damon says smirking.

Damon looks at her when she's not looking and smiles thinking about her laugh.

"Good morning Y/n" Stefan says smiling walking into the room.

"Hey Stef" Y/n says happily.

"Elena just called and she wants you to call her" Stefan says to Y/n.

"Your bodyguard awaits" Damon says smirking walking away.

"She's not my bodyguard" Y/n quietly sighs as Damon walks away not hearing her.

"Hey don't listen to him he doesn't mean anything by it" Stefan says smiling at Y/n.

"Thanks" Y/n says smiling.

She thinks about what Damon said and decided not to call Elena. Grabbing her book and walks outside the front door to the tree in the front yard. She sits down on the grass and reads her book thinking about what Damon said and if he was right about her siblings not hearing all of the calls from her phone that's inside sitting in her room.

"Y/n!" Elena yells from across the street.

"Elena?" Y/n asks confused.

"What the hell Y/n you didn't call me or answer me"Elena says angry and sighing.

"Yeah I know I just forgot" Y/n says quietly looking away from Elena.

"Y/n I know you didn't forget when you avoid looking at someone that's when you're lying which you don't do" Elena says angrily.

"What's going on?" Stefan asks coming outside to see Elena with an angry look on her face.

"Oh Y/n's second bodyguard welcome" Damon says smirking coming outside.

"Y/n I was worried about you, you can't just not call" Elena says sighing.

"I know I'm sorry I just.." Y/n says sadly stopping what she was saying.

"You were what? I called Jeremy and he should be here soon" Elena says.

"Y/n!" Jeremy calls to her walking to them.

"Hey are you ok?" Jeremy asks worried.

"Jer I'm fine I just didn't call Elena" Y/n says sighing.

"Oh god Y/n when Elena called I thought something happened to you" Jeremy sighs angrily.

"I'm sorry" Y/n says looking down sadly.

"You shouldn't have to be sorry" Damon says angrily at Jeremy and Elena.

"Stay out of it" Stefan says warning Damon.

"No she's an adult she doesn't have to call you every second like a child" Damon says.

"Stay out of it this has nothing to do with you" Jeremy says angrily walking up to Damon.

"Jer stop" Y/n says getting in front of Jeremy pushing him back a bit away from Damon.

"No Sunshine it's fine let him" Damon says walking closer to Jeremy.

"Damon please" Y/n looks at Damon with pleading eyes.

Damon looks into Y/n's eyes and backs away walking inside the house.

"You should go" Y/n says sadly to Jeremy and Elena.

"Y/n" Elena says sadly.

"I mean it Damon is right I'm an adult now I can take care of myself and you don't have to treat me like a kid" Y/n says sighing.

"Bye love you both" Y/n says walking away into the house.

Jeremy and Elena leave feeling bad for how they left their talk with Y/n and for making her feel like a child.

Y/n walks into the house looking for Damon.

"Damon!" Y/n calls.

"Hey Sunshine" Damon says from the couch.

"Damon I'm so sorry Jeremy was already mad at me and he shouldn't have acted how he did" Y/n says with an apologetic sad look.

"It's alright Sunshine it's not your fault" Damon says sighing.

"I really am sorry" Y/n says sadly.

"Sunshine it's alright I know how your brother is" Damon says smirking.

"Thanks Damon for sticking up for me and not doing anything to Jeremy" Y/n says smiling a little.

"Of course only for you Sunshine" Damon says smirking.

"Thanks" Y/n says quietly looking down blushing.

She walks away from Damon walking to her bedroom in the Salvatore House laying on her bed thinking about what Damon said "anything for you Sunshine" her heart speeds up thinking about Damon looking at her the way he was.
