The Connection

Y/n stands frozen thinking about what Bonnie just told her, trying to wrap her mind around it.

"It can't be? It's not possible" she says to herself.

"Y/n!" Bonnie calls from the inside the house trying to find her.

"I'm here!" she calls back.

Bonnie runs into the room seeing her and grabs her arm bringing her to the living room.

"Is Damon here?" Bonnie asks concerned.

"No he's with Stefan" her says sighing.

"Okay so we just need to figure this out" Bonnie says thinking pacing in front of Y/n who's sitting on the couch lost in thought.

"Bon what do I tell Damon?" she asks stressed.

"We'll figure this out don't worry" Bonnie says sitting beside her rubbing her back.

"Yeah..we'll figure this out" she repeats trying to convince herself.

"You said you talked to the witches right?" she asks rubbing her face trying to calm herself down.

"Yes and they said that your powers have been acting up because it was signalling that something is happening sensing a connection" Bonnie says smiling.

"A connection how?" she asks confused.

"Because we found out that you're part witch, it turns out that your ancestors had this connection spell put on you to find your soulmate in a way" Bonnie calmly tries to explain.

"So..what do I do?" she asks herself quietly.

"Y/n..I would tell Elena what's happening she'll understand" Bonnie says smiling at her.

"Yeah..you're right I'll tell Elena and go from there"
she says sighing nervously.

"Do you want me there?" Bonnie asks.

"Thanks Bon but I'll be okay" she nods smiling.

Y/n walks up the Gilbert house stairs knocking on the front door.
She sighs nervously shaking her hands trying to get rid of her nerves.
The door opens to Stefan who smiles down at her.

"Hey what are you doing here?" he asks hugging her.

"Hey Stef is Elena here?" she asks smiling nervously.

"No she's out with Caroline" he says smiling apologetically.

"Oh..Stef can I talk to you?" she asks nervously.

"Yeah of course" he says opening the door letting her in.

She looks around remembering the memories smiling before looking at Stefan with a nervous look.

"What's up?" he asks confused.

"I have a connection spell tied to me that is leading me to my soulmate" she explains.

"What?" he asks shocked.

"I don't know how that's possible but it's true..the witches told Bonnie" she says sighing nervously.

"Okay.." he says trying to stay calm.

"Does Damon know?" he asks concerned.

"No..I just found out today..I don't know what to do" she says sighing.

"Okay...connection spell" he says quietly thinking over the situation.

"You're under a spell?" Elena asks shocked walking into the house.

Y/n's face drops looking at the door seeing Elena and Caroline with shocked expressions.

"What's happening?" Caroline asks concerned.

"It's a connection spell that my ancestors put on me to find my soulmate" Y/n tells them nervously.

"How is that possible?" Elena asks looking at Stefan.

"It's a spell that her ancestors put on her, it's going to eventually lead you to your soulmate and when that happens you'll be entranced with them like a wolf is to their mate" he explains to Y/n.

"Wait so your soulmate is out there somewhere and you're living with Damon?" Caroline asks shocked.

"Yeah" Y/n says nodding.

"Could it be anyone?" Caroline asks Stefan.

"It could" he nods.

"I love Damon, I don't want anyone else" Y/n tells them worriedly.

"We'll figure out a way to stop the spell" Elena assures her grabbing her hand.

"What if I meet them..and I get entranced with them, then what?" Y/n asks feeling her heart break at the thought of not being with Damon.

"We're going to stop it before it happens okay?" Stefan tries to assure her.

"Okay" Y/n nods with a distant look.
