I heard my phone ringing from the living room. I asked Zacky to pick up as he already had his pants on.
"Alissa's phone... Yes, who's this? Okay, wait a minute."
He came back into the room and handed me my cell phone.
"Someone named Jess..." He said, as he was kissing my shoulder quietly.
"Hi Jess. How are you doing?" I put on my bra.
"Hey, you're not alone, I don't want to bother." Something was wrong in her voice.
"No it's all good, you are not. What is it?" I grabbed my shirt on the floor.
"It is finally over. We had a huge fight." Jess was talking about her ex. "Does your offer still stand, about the spare room?"
"I'm so sorry to hear, yes it does. Come as soon as you can, I'm home. Bring what you can, I can help you with the rest later."
"I'll be over in a few hours."
We hung up and I got dressed.
"My friend needs a place to stay, she just broke up with her ex." I mentioned.
"Damn, relationships suck." Zacky said.
That sentence made me question his intentions, but I ignored it.
"Something to drink? A beer?" I offered.
"Sure thing." He came to kiss me on my neck. I shivered, I turned to face him and made out with him once again. I reached for a beer in the fridge and gave it to him.
He stayed for dinner. I made us spaghetti with the sauce my mom made me when I moved. We talked and kissed more as we laid on the couch, waiting for Jess. The doorbell rang. I let go of Zacky's hand who was in mine, resting on my thigh. I opened the door and Jess was behind with her bags.
"Come on in, we were watching TV".
"Thank you so much for this". She came into the living room where we were chilling. "OH MY GOD." She screamed.
"I always forget you are famous." I laughed.
"Just call me Zacky, please." He asked.
We laughed.
"How did Zacky Vengeance end up in your living room?"
I'd have to tell her later about how he ended up in my bed too. Those images came back to me, but I pulled myself together as he explained.
"We met in college three weeks ago. We've become friends, I think so..."
I looked at him to notice him smirking. Were we ? Friends?
"I didn't know at first who he was. I learned Saturday that the Rev was in fact my childhood friend." I added.
"Shut up." She said, in disbelief.
"I am very much serious."
"No way. But, college? You do know you got a job right?" Jess asked him.
He explained again about the bet. A few minutes later, Zacky said he was leaving so we could have the night to talk.
I followed him to the doorstep.
"I'll call you." He simply said.
"I'll wait" I smiled.
He hugged me tightly for a few seconds, then he left.
"Oh my god... I interrupted something here." Jess said.
"No you didn't."
"Duh, yes I did. What was that hug?" She smiled widely.
"This was a... friend's... hug...?" I couldn't help but smile.
"Stop bullshiting me. You bitch. You totally fucked him."
I grinned.
"Okay, yeah, I did." I admitted. She screamed and hugged me.
"Oh my god. How was he? I fucking knew it... I was invisible, girl, the way he looked at you, damn..." She followed me as I showed her the room she would stay in.
For the rest of that night, she wouldn't let it go and asked me a million questions about him.
