I couldn’t help but look at them, and him especially while they were talking. I was starting to fall in love with him, but he seemed so unavailable emotionally , because of her. He seemed upset, she was definitely begging him to take her back. Let’s be honest, he confided in me he thought she was the one, she would not give up without a fight, I know I wouldn’t.

At some point in their conversation, I saw Zacky relaxing his shoulders and he seemed more open to what she was saying. She put her hand on his arm, but this time, he didn’t shrug it off. He closed his eyes for a second and continued speaking with her. This was bothering me so much, but I couldn’t do anything but wait and see what would happen next. I had to trust him and let him come back to me, right? Be the bigger person.

That’s the last thing I wanted to do right now. After another shot, I thought for a split second about why I was patiently waiting on someone who wasn’t sure about me. Everything was going so well between us until she showed up. But I shook my thoughts and drank some more, just the thought of his face, his eyes, his body over mine was enough to make me wanna fight for this. My mixed feelings were driving me crazy. Jimmy pulled me out of my madness.

“Don’t make yourself sick, enjoy the night.” Jimmy said.

“Yeah, right! Let’s dance or something” I faked a smile.

Later that night, around 1 am, I went to Zacky's bedroom to go to sleep. Even if the party wasn’t over, I was so over it. I opened the door to find Gena sitting on the edge of his bed.

“What are you doing here?” I was already so pissed, and well advanced in my alcohol intoxication.

“I could ask you the same.”

“This is Zacky’s room. That’s where I am sleeping tonight.”

“That’s funny, that’s where I offered him to spend the night too.” She smirked. "He didn't seem against the idea earlier."

“Get out.” I said calmly, taking a deep breath, trying not to lose it.

“You’re just a date you know. I saw your bag in here, but did you know I bought these curtains, chose the paint color, bought this lamp. I'm pretty sure there's something of mine still in the nightstand. Just look. “

I opened the drawer and I noticed a picture of them together. A tear rolled down my cheek and I quickly wiped it.

“Too bad you ruined it by cheating on him. Now I am sleeping in this bed.” My voice was now tinted with arrogance.

She stayed silent for a few seconds and then said:

"But he still has feelings. I will get him back. Don’t make yourself at home just yet.”

Enough was enough. I turned to face her and pushed her out of the room.

“GET OUT, BITCH.” I yelled.

Jess was in the corridor when she noticed something was wrong.

Gena was stronger than me, she was angry that I pushed her. She hit me in the face and I passed out for a few seconds. When I regained consciousness, Jess and Jimmy were by my side, while Brian was talking with Gena.

“Are you okay?” Jess asked me.

“Where is she?” I got up. I saw she was still here. “What the fuck is she still doing here?” I screamed.

“Fuck you, whore.” She responded.

Val arrived at this moment.

“What is going on here?” She said in disbelief.

Blood was coming out of my nose. I wiped it with a tissue Jess gave me.

“I came to sleep, but she was sitting on Zacky’s bed. I asked her to get out, but she wouldn't. Either she is leaving or I am.”

“Alissa, there’s a party downstairs, I don’t want to make a scene. It is 1 am and everyone is drunk. Let’s just sleep and talk about this in the morning.” Val said to me, trying to calm me.

“I will hit her again if I stay in the same room. I’ll leave.”

I got out of the house in a hurry without thinking. Where was Zacky while the mad woman broke into his room? I remembered he locked the doors before the guests arrived. Unless he gave her his key? I was starting once again to overthink. I had to go for a walk.

“Hey, wait up.” Jimmy was standing behind me.

"Jim, what are you doing here? You shouldn't follow me. I need to go for a walk." I was crying.

"I came to see if you were okay." He put his hand on my arm. "It is one in the middle of the night, no way I am letting you walk alone in this city."

"Where was he?" I wiped my tears.

"I don't know, I think he was in the bathroom or with the Berrys when it happened. Brian went to talk to him."

Jimmy hurried up, he couldn't keep up with my walking pace as I was infuriated and trying to calm myself, it seemed like an impossible task.

"I didn't think this girl would have the balls to do something like this. She's crazy." Jimmy said.

"She's hurt and in love." I sighed. " I don't want to fight over a guy who doesn't want me as much as I want him."

"Don't give up, you haven't talked to him yet. Let's go eat something."

"Okay. Yeah…" I nodded.

My cell phone was ringing. I saw Zacky's name on the screen.

" Hey, Ali, where are you?"

"Out of the house. We're on our way to a restaurant. I've got to clear my head and cool off."

"You're with The Rev?"

"Yeah"

"Okay. I wanted to make sure you're safe."

"Is she still there?" I asked.

"She's with Valary. I will talk with her. Come back soon."

"I won't be long, I just need an hour or so."

He hung up.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked Jimmy.
