Face the Music

As Celeri walks around the town of Menwi and sees everyone around seeming to be very proud and happy (albeit somewhat looking forced mind you) as they all get ready for something called "Music day" for Star Butterfly.

Because apparently its something that every member of the house Butterfly, has to go through when they come of age or something, honestly Celeri doesn't really have any idea what it all means nor does he really care as almost any music that isn't related to Medieval times or that of his people tends to put him to sleep... and yes that also includes every shade of Rock n' Roll.

Star's parents seem to be very excited about the whole endeavor... well mostly Star's mom while her husband, Star's father seems to be pretty neutral with the whole thing as he's just trying his best to be as supportive as he possibly could through the whole thing.

Meanwhile Star looks like she's being forced to go on a pilgrimage across her entire kingdom or something from how she's literally just being dragged across the field by her mother the entire time towards everything she probably had to do when she was Star's age.

And as Star got dragged away she seemed to be reaching out towards both Celeri and Maria, quite possibly in a desperate attempt at getting help from either of them only for it to be ignored on Celeri's part and who knows for Maria but it honestly couldn't have been an accident given her cute smile as Star screamed in the distance.

Looking around the place everything seemed full of life and yet at the same like they were all forced to participate in attending the funeral of one of the most hated members of the royal family like some messed up holiday they're all forced to take part in every year.

Something to note about the whole event was just how a clock was struck and they all turned into some crazed zombie like creatures that were doing any and everything they could to sell Star related, well anything like they took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up visiting Hollywood Boulevard.

The creepiest thing of it though was probably the fact that either Star had made some very weird demon friends or Tom had hired some of them to buy said merchandise of Stars to the point that he could have honestly been the only person helping keep the kingdom afloat.

Anyway as Star and Maria walked around the venue of the place seeing what it had to offer, Celeri eventually looked back and realized that either he had gotten lost or Maria had left him alone to do his own thing... or get kidnapped like she's in her princess alter ego or something.

Either way though the entire journey was a bit interesting if not a little weird what with Star and Maria apparently getting dragged over to Mewni without their consent or knowledge for this little show all while Celeri just happened to be in the neighborhood because of a promise he made to someone.

And honestly he wouldn't dare to miss this for the world as apparently its something that's going to become super embarrassing towards Star later on in her life and since she along with all the other girls seem to have apparently infinite stories, pictures, or even items over him, why can't he make even out the playing field a bit more and have some stories of his own about them.

Best thing of all about the entire thing however was meeting some down on his luck performer since he's probably not a a performer like those in medieval times, as around here where dragons and motorcycles are fused into one creature.

Add that with the fact that Magic exists and you have a recipe of who the heck knows what someone's called in this crazy world until they tell the person but either way it was interesting to see a man who seemed to be just as depressed as Star about the whole thing.

So like any good Samaritan, Celeri gave the man a few gold coins... and by few I do of course mean an entire pouch full of the things since Celeri is nothing if not richer than almost anyone else he comes across... thinking back on it wasn't him stating that the entire reason Janna seemed to just suddenly appear one day and become friends with Celeri.

???: "Thank you kind sir! I am most gracious of this splendid gift!"

Celeri: "(Turns around and sees the bard he just gave money to) Ah no problem man. You looked like you needed some help and I honestly don't really have any need to worry about money so I figured why not help someone in need."

Bard?: "Oh, but I must help my savior as it is my creed. So tell me Mr. kind stranger, (bows) how can I be of service. And please I hope you can be patient (looks disgruntled) as I am forced to preform the song and dance of the ancients for the current Princess of our kingdom!"

Celeri: "Well I'm fine with whatever (tosses him a single coin) just make it something worth while and that'd honestly be enough from me."

And before the man could say anything else Celeri for possibly the fifth time in his life used his incredible speed to run as far away as he possibly could so that this embarrassing situation he managed to trap himself in would cease and he could be free once more to explore the town a bit more.

Celeri: "(Under his breath) Man why couldn't that guy have been a little slower in reacting. I mean who the heck messes with a cool mysterious, generous stranger like that anyway?"

Soon enough however this somehow turned into one giant game of cat and mouse where the Bard and apparently his entire troupe would try and find Celeri with all their might only for him to have to vanish/run away from the group like a ninja.

And speaking of this troupe, what the heck do they really do for a living anyway? I mean it honestly seems like there's a hundred groups of these people all chasing after him and when you add that with the fact that they can also do parkour along with somewhat catch up with Celeri makes him wonder if their not really a group of thieves or assassins.

Thankfully however the group seemed to finally give up as night time was approaching and good thing too. As this was honestly the first time he's ever had to run this much for  this long in his entire life! And he's run around the world once when he was just a kid all because of a stupid dare!

While Celeri didn't really want to stay around for the song he managed to work his way close enough to the center of the stage to be able to see the performance and honestly if this was what old school was to these people than He'd honestly hate to see what else they have in store.

But eventually the man appeared and started singing about Star's personal life a bit more than she would have probably liked and from the looks he was getting this was not something planned at all from her end.

With the song eventually coming to a climactic end where a picture of Tom appeared in the background of everyone as Star seemingly blushed to no end as she both tried to blow up the stage and run away on a magical pink cloud all at the same time.

Celeri: "(Holding video camera) What the heck was that?"
