All Hail the King

The pack leader of Mewni isn't someone that should be or really was a good king as from what Celeri's heard the very first thing he normally does when his royal wife leaves is to throw a grand party throughout the entire kingdom all the time until she comes back home.

What makes things even worse would be the fact he still loved his wife enough to, from what Celeri heard have a recording of her voice along with the imprint that she left on her pillow from the last time she had slept there.

Which was at least a somewhat good thing as it showed even when she wasn't there he at least still thought of her instead of chasing after some other woman or trying to be a kid again... well more so than he already was anyway.

It was honestly a sad sight to see but whatever it's how they lived their lives and it's something that everyone knew the king did as he did whatever he felt like whenever he could which more often than not was him being a hunter/fighter.... which was probably where Star's inner beast came from.

The best thing that happened that day was when he actually tried to become a real king for once and help their people by trying to fight/ ward off a giant monster that seemed to be trying to attack the town and all the town's men probably from all the noise.

It was something of a rare sight to see especially when you know for a fact that the king doesn't have the best relationship with his citizens as a king, he seemed to have a great relationship with them as a person but not so much when it came to being a ruler of the land which was probably for the best as he was both crazy and not that smart of a man.

Also from what Celeri could figure out, on how the law works on Mewni or at least the laws on how to govern it seemed like only those that were already part of the royal family had a right to rule over the kingdom and make all the rules, regulations, and whatnot.

Either that or Moon Butterfly could see the writing on the walls and did everything in her power to make the person that she loved into someone at least respectable but didn't really have any power in the courts at large as a safety precaution.

No matter how Celeri looks at it those were the only ways that the kingdom made any sort of sense on how it was run along with how it was still able to keep itself afloat since every time he's seen the king they always wanted to fight Celeri along with do some radical extreme things.

Like the last time they meet before any of this happened the man wanted to go climbing on a mountain that was known to hurt anyone who climbs it both physically and mentally along with having the very real chance of forever scarring the person till the end of time.

Thankfully however the king stepped up to plate when it really mattered as he tried his best to protect his people from harm that day by using all the skills of a huntsman/warrior/soldier/or just crazy man, to try his best in making sure the monster either left or the people had a way of fighting back.

What made things even better... if you were to call it that was the fact that at that very moment Maria came by to visit Star with some magical bowel of cereal or at least the box that it had come from, along with cheesy jerky for Celeri as he loved the smokey flavor along with cheese just in general.

It was interesting to say the least seeing Maria once again especially when she helped out the old King try his best to find a way to help all his people with Maria being the voice of reason as Celeri was treated as the royal guard dog as he kept following them for the tasty jerky.

Celeri: "(On the ground as he bangs of it) To think that I'd be lured by the promise of meat like some sort of pet dog!" He cried out all while the piece of jerky he had gotten from Maria was still hanging onto his mouth and would never be released except for when he finally felt like eating it.

Maria: "(Does a little giggle) Don't worry I'm sure (starts laughing for a long while before she eventually stops) I'm sure its nothing to be ashamed about I mean everyone has their weaknesses."

Celeri: "(Glares at Maria and walks up to her) Oh yea! And what's your weakness that turns you into a slave to your desires!"

Celeri marched right on up to Maria, way to close might I add as he asked her that with a fire in his eyes that she's only ever truly seen come from him whenever he was talking about knightly things or the weird crap he thought of as interesting.

Maria: "(Looks him dead in the eyes) That's a secret!"

She then runs off towards the King of Mewni as he heart beats like someone was playing a drum solo who doesn't know how to play the drums in the first place. Along with that came the fact that for the rest of the day it became really hard for Maria to look at Celeri for awhile to to which he of course didn't seem to notice as he was having his own problems with feeling like a domesticated animal.

Celeri kept following along as he wept about his own problems, Maria was the barrier between the two as she couldn't let the king out of her sight in fear of what he might do along with the fact that she couldn't look at Celeri, as the king went on to figure out what type of savage monster they were dealing with.

Thankfully it was all for not as it turned out to be a failure to communicate properly between the giant beast and the king as they thought they were saying two different things between one another as the monster just left peacefully once he realized he was in the wrong.

Of course the peace only lasted but a moment as Ludo appeared with his monster army and started his take over of Mewni and everything which is where they were right now with Celeri trying his best to find a way to steal Ludo's wand and destroy it. While a separate team was going to go out to find and rescue both Maria and the king before anything happens to either of them.
