POV MELANIE:
I could only take a deep breath and slow down when I arrived at Scott's house and saw Isaac waiting for me outside. Without saying a single word to him, I gave him the longest, tightest hug I could manage and let the tears fall down my face onto my boyfriend's shirt.
- Your parents were at home, weren't they? Did they hurt you? Did they hurt you? - asked Isaac, checking my body for marks or any wounds. - Baby, tell me what happened.
-You should have seen the way they defended Gerard and his stupid ideas. They are blind with fear and there is nothing I can say or show them that will change their minds.
- My love, we already knew that things weren't going to be easy. But they, and indeed the whole town, still have time to change their minds and realize that the real monster is the man they call the boss.
- You don't understand... For them, I'm like another "monster". They said that if I walked out the door of our house that they would not protect me in the future.
- But do you think they can attack you? I mean, on their side or not, you're still their daughter.
- They made it very clear that I stopped being one.
- I don't know if it helps or not, but I'll always be here for you, as I've always been. You are the person I love most in this world and I will do anything to keep you safe.
- Nor do I intend to let anything bad happen to you. Now let's go to the rest of the staff? They must all be waiting for us by now.
When we arrived at the animal clinic, Malia, Scott and Mason were already there and five minutes after we arrived, Theo and Liam arrived. Before moving on to the subject of the moment, Isaac and I went to say hello to our friends, as we missed them so much and then we heard a voicemail from a cell phone they had found at the Primal Pack headquarters.
- "Hey. It's me again. I don't know why you can't seem to call me back. Maybe it's because you think you're punishing me, but this is too long. It's too much, and it's not about us. Something's happening in Beacon Hills, to the people here. I just ... I need to know everyone there with you is okay. Can you just please call me, please. One call, that's all I'm asking for. And, if you can't call me back, I'm going to get my answer anyway. That means I'm coming up there myself if I don't get a call from you. I'm coming up there so just try, try to remember it's my pack too."
Scott said that Malia pulled the phone of one of the bodies in the woods and then he explained there were six dead and one of them had no face. Theo speculates that the one with no face may be the woman on the phone. Mason says the same thing happened to Aaron, that the Anuk-Ite took over Aaron's body, stole his face and his DNA and that whoever the woman on the phone is, she might be the other half of the Anuk-Ite.Theo believes that they should be looking for the half of the creature they know about.
- We should go look for both of you, Aaron and the woman from the phone call and since you two are in synch.- Scott said looking at Mason and Theo.- You're going to look for Aaron!
- Both of us? Me and him?" asked Theo and Mason at the same time.
- Yes, but don't go alone. Isaac would you mind going with them? It's just that I feel better knowing you're with them should anything happen.
- Of course! - exclaimed Isaac smiling.
"What about the three of you?" asked Theo, looking at me, Scott and Liam.
- We'll try to find the woman the phone call.
- If we find any of the halves, maybe we won't have to fight.- Liam said looking at the cell phone he had in his hands.- If we stopped the Anuk-Ite...
