POV ALEC:
These last few days have been a mix of emotions. Angry because Monroe always managed to be one step ahead of us, because whenever we arrived in a city, she was no longer there. Fear: when Monroe's men tried to kill me in Los Angeles and fear when I realized that Monroe had kidnapped Melanie. At that moment I also felt a little confused because I never thought I would be so afraid of losing someone I've only known for a few days. Relief when we finally managed to defeat Monroe and her army, as all supernatural beings could finally stop living in fear of being caught and could return to their lives.
Sadness for realizing that, now that Monroe had been defeated, all members of the Mccall pack, would move on with their lives. Nostalgia when I think of all the amazing times we had on this recent journey. Surprise when Melanie and Isaac told us the plans they had for me and my future. And finally, happiness for having the opportunity to officially join a family, because that's what I feel the three of us can be in the future.
"I can't believe I'm going to have to say goodbye to all of you again," Lydia said.
- We knew this day would come sooner or later, Lyds.- Malia said smiling.
- Don't say goodbye.- Melanie said, making everyone turn around to observe her.- I'm not kidding, don't say goodbye to anyone... Because the truth is that this is not goodbye, but see you soon! In a few months we'll all be together again and you'll see that the time until then will fly by. In addition, we will still have our traditional facetime calls... I know it's not the same thing, but at least it can kill 70% of the misses.
- It's amazing how you always know what to say to reassure someone.- Lydia said smiling, looking at Melanie.
We stayed a few more minutes hanging out, but it was almost eleven at night when we said goodbye to each other and left Stiles' house. As most of the pack leaves early the next morning, farewells took longer. As we were still quite tired, when we arrived at "our" house, we opted to go to our rooms. After wishing Melanie and Isaac a good night, I went to the bathroom to do my nightly hygiene routine and then went to my room. But when I lay down on my bed I couldn't fall asleep, as my head kept thinking about my next adventure with Melanie and Isaac.
It was almost two o'clock in the morning when I finally managed to fall asleep, only to wake up at ten o'clock in the morning, with the sound of my alarm. As we had a lot of things to do before our flight today, I decided it wasn't best to laze around all morning, although I really wanted to, so I got up, changed my clothes and left my room to join Melanie and Isaac who were already in the kitchen preparing our breakfast. I was on the last step of the stairs when I started to hear noise coming from the street.
- Here we go again.- said Isaac, as he finished toasting the bread.- Honestly one of the advantages of going to Liverpool is that we will stop hearing these arguments from our neighbors across the street.
- Good morning.- I said after entering the kitchen and sat down in one of the chairs that were free.
"Don't tell me you woke up because of that idiot?" asked Isaac.
- No, by chance I woke up before the noise, but I confess it's a little unpleasant.
- It's a bit to be kind... it's very unpleasant.- Melanie said.
- And what's our itinerary for today, boss?- asked Isaac, putting a plate of toast on the table and went to the fridge to get the milk and fresh orange juice.
- To tell you the truth, we don't even have as much to do as I thought. We have to go to our lawyer's office, then we have to call our water and electricity companies to exchange payment methods, as we won't be around to receive the letters for payment. And finally, we have to pack our bags. And we couldn't forget that we have to leave about half an hour earlier because we agreed to pick up Liam and Theo so we can all go to the airport.
