Two years later...

What happened in these last two years, you ask... Not much! As we didn't know how long we were going to be looking for Monroe and what's left of her army, we all had to postpone our entrance to the university a little. As for our apartment in Liverpool, we spoke to the lady who owns the house we are renting and we continued to pay for the apartment, even if we weren't there in person because when we return to Liverpool to finally be able to live our lives as university teenagers, we will have where to live.

The only person who is really getting on with his college life in the same way is Stiles, who every weekend comes back to Beacon Hills to be with us and he made me promise that if there is any news, to let him know. The rest of us continued to make our lives in Beacon Hills the best way. Isaac and I got a job at a very nice cafe ten minutes from our house and we managed to save some more money, to add to what we already had and the money that my parents left me in the will.

One of the good things about having continued to live here was accompanying the youngest members of our pack, namely Theo, Liam, Mason and Corey in their academic lives. We all went to all of Liam's lacrosse games and went to his graduations. Every day, Scott and Derek leave the house at dawn and only return at dinner time, looking for clues that lead us to Monroe's whereabouts, but until today there has been no clue that bears fruit.

As for my consequences from the confrontation, everything is fine... The wounds healed up very well, as I didn't lack time to rest and now the only thing I have left of that confrontation are the scars and the memories. The week after I came home, we had a small funeral for my parents, as it was the only way I could say goodbye to them properly. At first, I still woke up with nightmares about that afternoon, but time has helped me to heal this psychological wound.

What we still didn't know was that today a new element would join our pack... Today started like all the others, in which Isaac and I woke up with the sound of the alarm clock, then we changed clothes, did our morning hygiene and we went to have breakfast, however, as soon as Isaac and I got to the kitchen to eat something, Isaac's cell phone started to ring.

- Everything is fine? Yes... Yes, I'll go with you... Okay... Deal... See you later.- I heard Isaac say into the cell phone.

- Who was?

- Scott... He asked me to go with him to follow up on a new lead. He and Chris will stop by to pick me up in a bit.

"But he didn't tell you what clue that was?" For Chris to be involved, it's a serious matter.

- I know the same as you. Well, Scott told me he was here in ten minutes, so I'm going to grab something quick and put my shoes on.

And just like Isaac had said, exactly ten minutes after he hung up, we heard the horn of a car that turned out to be Argent's car and the two of us went to the front door.

- Promise me you'll be careful, please.

- I promise.

"Good morning Mel," shouted Scott, who was sitting in the front passenger side of Argent's Jeep.

- Good morning. Be careful, the three of you, you hear? - I shouted back, but the only answer I got was a smile from Scott and another from Argent and seconds after Isaac got into the jeep, they took off, leaving me alone and with a lot of questions in my head. .

Since I didn't want to be home alone, I called Stiles, who had come over for the weekend, to ask if I could spend the day with him and explained that Scott had kidnapped my boyfriend. I managed to notice from the call that he had become as curious as I was and told me that in ten minutes he would stop by my house to pick me up.
