Six years have passed since the night Isaac gave Melanie the promise ring and their relationship is still as strong and healthy as ever. Of course they are like all couples, they have their arguments, sometimes over very stupid subjects, but they never go to bed without resolving them and that is what makes the relationship between this werewolf and this human so special.
After they both finished their degrees, they and Alec returned to Beacon Hills and their careers have gone very well, with Isaac managing to open a psychology practice and Melanie being a lawyers in Beacon Hills. Alec, on the other hand, got a job at the cafe where Isaac and Melanie worked, to help pay for the education course he is currently taking at the Beacon Hills vocational school, which opened about two years after the confrontation between Mccall's pack and Monroe.
What is the rest of the Mccall pack doing right now? Well, let me explain to you. Scott McCall owns the Beacon Hills Animal Clinic. A year after Scott returned to Beacon Hills, Deaton made the decision to retire and spend more time with what was left of his family and proposed that Scott take over the practice. Of course Scott wasn't going to pass up the opportunity! Malia, believe it or not, opened a tour company, which offers guided tours of the most incredible spots in this city. Lydia works at a fledgling company that makes technology programs. Stiles, after finishing his studies at the FBI, is working in the police, along with the new sheriff, Parish.
Liam and Theo are now a couple and have been together for three years. Liam, after an accident at a lacrosse game, is no longer able to play and has taken an education course and is the new coach of the Beacon Hills lacrosse team. Of course the coach still pops up from time to time, but Liam is now the one who makes all the decisions regarding the team. Theo is also working as a teacher in Beacon Hills, teaching Biology and Science.
But today is a very special day for Isaac and Melanie, as it's the day they take the next step in their relationship. Ever since the night Isaac gave Melanie the promise ring, he's been thinking about the best way and the best time to propose and the day finally came, but for that he needed the help of all his friends. After a secret meeting of the Mccall pack, with Melanie obviously excluded from that meeting, Isaac asked his friends for help and together they divided tasks so that this request was unforgettable.
Isaac knew that only two people could distract Melanie for hours, so Scott Mccall and Stiles Stilinski were responsible for Melanie. While the rest of the pack went to the place Isaac chose to propose, and helped Isaac prepare the surprise. It was seven thirty in the afternoon when everything was ready and Isaac sent a message to Stiles that said that he and Scott could bring Melanie to where Isaac was.
About thirty-five minutes later, Stiles, Scott and a blindfolded Melanie arrived at the scene and without making much noise, they and the rest of the pack went to hide so that the couple had more privacy. Carefully, Isaac guided Melanie to the exact spot where he had prepared to propose and as soon as they reached the intended room, Isaac removed the blindfold from Melanie's eyes.
- Welcome to our old school.- said Isaac smiling.
"Isaac, this is beautiful," Melanie said looking around.
- Do you remember which room this is?
- This is where we met for the first time.
- Exactly. It was in this room that our story began and this place is the perfect place for what I plan to do right now.- Isaac said smiling.
"What do you mean by that?" Melanie asked confused.
- Can you open that box?- asked Isaac, pointing to a huge box that was in a corner of the room.
Melanie carefully opened the box and saw a stuffed dog holding a small gray box. Curiosity turned out to be greater than the desire to give her boyfriend a big kiss and after opening the small box, she turned to Isaac, not knowing how to react.
