ISAAC POV:
Seeing my girlfriend in this state, between life and death is the worst feeling in the world. It felt like I couldn't even breathe! I've already endured enough pain in my life, with the death of my older brother, my mother, all the times my father beat me, closed me inside that freezer, but nothing compares to the pain I'm going through in this moment.
As soon as we arrived at the hospital, Stiles was right outside the ER entrance door and Melissa was already waiting for us, with a gurney to take Melanie to the operating room . Both Stiles and I followed them through the hospital, but once we reached the door to the OR section, Melissa wouldn't let us in.
- We'll do everything possible for her to be okay, but you can't go any further.
"Stiles?" asked Melanie, in a moment of clarity. "Where's Stiles?"
- I'm here, little sister.
- You have to go to them, we all know that you are the person who always manages to solve everything. Promise... promise me you'll help them.
- I will, but you also have to promise me something. Promise me you won't die.
- I can promised you that, but I don't think it's in my hands.- Melanie said smiling and then Melissa took her into an operating room, where Liam's father was waiting for them.
- Isaac, she's going to be fine. Liam's father is an excellent doctor and will treat her well.- said Stiles sitting next to me.
- What do I do if she doesn't survive? Stiles, I can't lose her! She is the love of my life!
- I know and believe that I am also full of fear, but we have to hope that things will go well.
- She's right, you know?! You have to meet them at the animal clinic. They need you.
- And you, are you all right? Here alone?
- I'll stay. Don't worry, if something happens, you'll be the first person I call.
- Thank you Isaac. Hang in there, she'll be fine.- Stiles said and then left the hospital, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
These next few hours were the worst I've ever experienced, because at that time no one could give me any information about Melanie's condition and that made me very worried. Although I tried to be positive, very negative thoughts were trying to invade my mind and all I could think about was what I would do if she didn't survive. Three hours later, our friends arrived at the hospital and asked me if there was any news.
- I've asked all the nurses and doctors, but none of them know anything. And if she's dead?!- I said and tears were falling down my face again.- How am I going to live my life without her?
- You can't think like that, Isaac.- Scott said.
- How do you want me to think? The love of my life has been in there for three hours and still no one has said anything to me about her. She lost a lot of blood before we came to the hospital... I really try to think positively, but I can't.
- You know what I'm thinking? How is it possible that a person so small, in size, can change our lives in such a big way.- Stiles said, looking up.
- I haven't known her as long as you guys have, but she's really a very special girl. - said Theo, who was sitting next to Liam, in the chairs opposite me.
- I loved when she helped me with my homework. Mason always tried to explain it to me, but he's so smart that he just gave up because I always didn't understand anything he said. So after he left, I'd call Melanie and she'd come over and help me.
