I shook zach, panicking even more when the same car slammed into us again. "zach, wake up, please!" I looked forward, seeing that we were at the bridge now. there was a girl standing on the edge on of the railing. lauren.
there was no way for me to stop the car since zach wasn't waking up, so I figured I would try to turn into the railing in hopes that it would stop the car.
but it didn't.
we smashed right into the railing opposite of lauren, breaking it and hanging over the edge. I couldn't help but scream, staring straight down at the still partially frozen river beneath me.
"oh my god, I'm gonna die," I wailed, clinging to my seat belt. I started sobbing uncontrollably. "I know I've prayed before that I wouldn't wake up in the morning, but I don't really want to die!"
after a few moments of just hanging there, I thought of calling the firestation, because at that point it was obvious we weren't going to fall unless I moved to quickly or if we were pushed. but as I was reaching for my phone in my pocket, I heard tires squealing, then felt a jolt before we were falling windshield-first into the river.
I still don't quite remember what happened aside from struggling to get my seatbelt off before waking up in the hospital to my hands and feat being soaked in warm water.
I asked for the tv to be turned on so I wasn't bored to death, and I was met with the news that I really did have nobody left. my parents and joey all were arrested, lauren was successful in her suicide attempt, and zach was dead.
that was the third time I've cried until I couldn't breathe.
