CH. 41: I missed you

Chaeryeong's POV

Lia and I had grown closer, fell harder since our weekend away.

I never thought I would be saying this but we had become inseparable since we got back a week ago. The woman was making me whipped for her and I was OK with that.

I was heading to meet my dad at the office to go for lunch. I was not due to meet him for twenty minutes, giving me time to stop by to see Lia to see if she has time to join me for a coffee in the break room.

I knocked, making her and her co-worker lookup. Lia smiled when she saw me standing there. "Hey, baby can I steal you for a bit for a coffee if you aren't too busy?" I smiled "Yeah, I'm due a break anyway." She smiled, shutting the laptop down.

I stood by the door waiting for her. As soon as she was in front of me, I pulled her in pecking her lips. She smiled into the kiss. Once we pulled apart, I wrapped my arm around her waist, leading us towards the break room. "I was not expecting to see you until later." She said looking up at me. "I know, I came in twenty minutes early so I could steal you." I smiled. She giggled, reaching in kissing me once more.

"Well, that was very sweet. It seems you can't survive one day without me." She said overly confident. I pulled her into me, placing my hand on the small of her back. Her placing her hand on my chest. "I'm not ashamed to admit it." I smirked, "I miss you when you aren't around." I added.

There was no point in lying to her. I am done with lies and I'm sure as hell I don't wanna lie to her. She has become a huge part of my life recently. I did miss her when she was not around especially at night time if we couldn't stay together. "I miss you too." She said stealing another quick kiss.

She took a seat at my request and I made us both a coffee. I took a seat down next to her, passing her a cup of coffee. I came here cause not only did I wanna see her, but I also wanted to talk to her about something too. "So, my mum called me this morning." I started, Lia nodding, telling me to finish off what was saying "And she wants you and me to go over for dinner tomorrow night because she really wants to meet you." I said. I was not sure if we were there yet.

Yes, as I said we have been spending lot of time together but that is a big step. Obviously, she knows my dad because she works for him. Dinner though, that is a completely different surrounding and situation. I wouldn't get mad at her if she said no, it is a lot of pressure.

"And what did you say?" She asked " I said I would ask you. I know that's a big step and if you aren't ready that's OK." I said making sure she knew that was an option too. She fell silent for a moment, thinking about what I asked of her. She was making me nervous the longer she took to answer.

"Yeah, that sounds good I would like that but only if you meet my family too?" she smirked. Meeting the family? That is something I have NEVER done. I have never even thought about it. Then again never did a lot of things until her. I just hope they don't end up not liking me. People get the wrong impression of me when they first meet me. Hopefully, that will not be the case if I meet her family. "OK. That's only fair." I chuckled

She smiled widely at me, getting what she wanted. "I bet you never thought you would be doing that did you?" she laughed. "Nope. Then again, I never thought I would meet someone like you, someone that would make me stop being such a hoe that treats women like crap. Someone that would make me so whipped for her and make me feel things I never knew could, but here I am." I said.

I watch the smile grow on her lips, her cheeks turn a dark shade of red. She was adorable at times. She stood up, coming over to me, placing herself on my lap. The break room was quiet, it usually was at this time of day before lunch. No one around to bother us. She straddled my hips, looking at me face on. She leant in, her lips pressing into mine. The kiss was passionate and sweet all at once I smiled, wrapping my arms around her and kissed her back the same.

The two of us pulled away from the kiss, Lia keeping her place on my lap "I think that is the sweetest thing you have ever said to me baby, I feel the same." She smiled, running her hands through my hair. "I'm glad to hear that princess." I smiled

She moved off my lap much to my disappointment but I knew it was probably for the best. The two of us finished off our coffees, saying our goodbyes and making plans for later. It was time for me to meet my dad even though I could have stayed kissing her all day.

My dad and I were sitting down for lunch, having a sneaky Scotch while we were there. No one needs to know. My mother must have already spoken to my dad and I told him that she has invited Lia and me over for dinner cause he was sitting patiently waiting for me to answer.

"Yes, father we are coming for dinner, now please stop glaring at me." I laughed

"That's my Chaeryeong. You are pretty smitten with Lia uh?" he said trying his best not to smirk

He knew the answer to that, he wanted to hear me actually say it though. "Yes, dad I am very smitten with her. I am crazy about her." I said smiling widely. "I know, I just wanted to hear you say it. I had a feeling she would be the one that would tame you, why do you think I tried setting you both up before anything actually happened." He said proudly.

"I really I am crazy about her dad. She makes me a better person. I feel things for Lia I never thought I would feel. I find myself falling more and more for her every day we spent together. It's crazy, isn't it? Who would have thought you would be hearing me say all that?" I said.

Somehow though my dad never looked too surprised at what I was saying to him. "I know you are Chaeryeong, that is very clear to see. She is good for you." He smiled. My dad and spoke back and forth about Lia and I.

He was all for it and telling me how excited my mum was at the chance of finally meeting Lia. He knew she and my mum would hit it off...my mum embarrassing me probably. I'm sure she will make up for all the years I have not had girlfriends to bring home to meet her. I am sure she has many stories she is waiting to tell her.

"I will see you and Lia tomorrow if I don't see you before then." My dad said as we pulled up outside his building "Or are you coming in to see Lia?" he added "No, I'm gonna head home. I have a surprise for her that I needed to do." I said smirking

"Remember Chaeryeong, use protection I am too young to be a grandfather." He laughed as he hugged me goodbye. "Dad!" I whined like a child, shaking my head. I don't need to be hearing that from my father. That isn't right.

Too young to be a grandfather? He is nearly sixty I don't think that is too old, plus my parents would love a grandchild. My dad chuckled, heading inside.

I headed to the shops, getting everything I need for tonight I decided I was gonna set up a romantic night for us tonight, just the two of us.

Turns out I'm a hopeless romantic at heart after all, or maybe it's her that brings that side out of me.
