“I swear to God. If you wake her up I’m gonna kill both of you.”
“Please, your petite ass doesn’t stand a chance against either of us.”
My sleep addled brain recognized Jimin’s voice first. But, I was still laying on his chest and so more than knowing that it was him, the rumbling in his chest as he spoke was probably more of a giveaway than anything else. I groaned softly, burying my face into Jimin’s side. The voices immediately fell silent, Jimin’s arms around me tightening, pulling me closer to him.
“Y/N? Are you awake?”
“Do I have to be?” I mumbled.
“No.” he chuckled at the same time someone else said, “Yes.”
There was a smack followed by whining.
“I missed her! I want time with her too!”
I poked my head up, Jimin’s hair a wild mess the first thing I see. Unconsciously, my hand feels my own hair, trying to smooth it down. I was positive it wasn’t fairing any better than his. Remembering what happened the last time I woke up in bed with someone, I wiped my lips and checked Jimin’s chest for drool. Internally rejoicing when I didn’t find anything, and my lips were dry.
“Good morning baby.” Jimin’s voice was soft and lilting. No traces of sleep left in it suggesting that he had been awake for a while.
“Morning.” I mumbled.
I could feel the ache in my limbs begging for me to stretch, but the two other presences in the room caught my eye. Taehyung and Jungkook stood next to each other only a couple of feet from the bed. I was a little surprised to see them here, until I realized that Jimin had brought me to their shared apartment. I didn’t know exactly how often they spent time here, but I had a feeling their arrival had more to do with me than Jimin. Within I blink, Taehyung had darted forward and scooped me out of Jimin’s hold, sheet and all.
I gasped, wrapping my arms around his neck as he dragged me off the bed squeezing me half to death. My sound of surprise was drowned out by Jimin’s though as the sheet came with me, leaving the poor man butt naked and exposed for everyone in the room.
“What the hell Tae!” he yelled, snatching a pillow to cover himself.
“It’s not anything we haven’t seen before.” Jungkook snorted.
“Doesn’t mean I want it out for the two of you to stare at!”
Taehyung tucked his face into my neck. His nose brushed the love bite Jimin had left last night making me wince.
“Ouch.”
Tae pulled back, looking at me worriedly. Beside him, Jungkook stopped bickering with Jimin to stare at me. He frowned as Tae turned my head and brushed my hair back enough to see Jimin’s mark. Both Tae and Jungkook sucked in a sharp breath.
“Damn hyung. You really did a number on her.” Jungkook moved closer to get a better look.
The way they both stared at it made me curious. I hadn’t seen it yet and the urge to find a mirror stat was impossible to ignore. I tucked the sheet closer to myself before shuffling towards the door to find the bathroom Jimin and I used last night.
“I may have gotten a little carried away.” Jimin’s voice drifted across the room as I made my way out the door.
Barging through the bathroom door, I flicked the light switch and swept my hair out of the way. A large, red and purple bruise colored my neck. Still a little swollen and angry looking. On one hand, I was already dreading have to cover it with make up knowing it was going to be a chore with how dark and big it was, but on the other, a part of me was proud of it. It was Jimin’s mark. His claim to me. I just wished I had thought about doing the same to him last night. It would have been nice for him to have my mark just as I carried his. A low whistle sounded behind me. I jerked my eyes to see the person leaning against the door to the bathroom through the mirror.
“I see you discovered Jimin’s kink.” Jin chuckled.
He came up behind me, reaching around me to set a pile of clothes on the counter that I hadn’t noticed him holding, and placed his hands over the tops of my bare shoulders. He kissed my temple gently, meeting my eyes at the same time.
“Good morning love.”
“Good morning.”
“I have breakfast ready if you’re hungry. Get dressed and join us.” He planted another kiss on my head and left.
I quickly dressed, ditching the sheet in the hamper. Thankfully, I was able to find a spare toothbrush under the sink and a comb in one of the drawers. My hair was a god-awful mess, but without anything to fix it right now, it would have to do. I was pretty sure I had a couple of extra ponytail holders in my purse, so I’ll find those later. The sound of laughter flooded the apartment as I opened the bathroom door. Several voices carried through the hallway I stood in as I made my way towards the open living area.
Upon entering, I could see Jin and Hoseok carrying plates into the dining area with Jungkook right behind them. I paused as flashbacks of last night ran through my head, especially concerning the dining table that they were currently setting.
“Uh…” I bit my lip wondering how I was supposed to bring this up in conversation.
Someone wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me in. The wild mess of silvery curls gave him away as he dipped in for a quick kiss.
“I won’t tell if you won’t.” he whispered before letting me go.
He looked over his shoulder, giving me a sly wink before sauntering to the kitchen. I looked away flustered, while trying to brush off the shyness. In an attempt to think about anything else, I remembered that Jimin and I had also stripped and left our clothes wherever last night. Looking around, none of our clothes were where we had left them. Jimin’s nowhere to be found, but mine sat in a neatly folded pile on the coffee table.
This could not get any more embarrassing. I grabbed them off the table, planning on stashing them somewhere not so out in the open, but stopped when I found that everything was accounted for except one thing. Frowning, I searched the living room thinking maybe they had just been overlooked when Taehyung walked out of the hallway.
“Um… Tae?”
“Hmm?”
“Have you seen my underwear?” the question set my face on fire.
He hesitated in his footsteps, glancing between the clothes in my arms and me. Although he wouldn’t meet my eyes for very long. He bit his lip and shook his head.
“Nope.”
The way he was acting was suspicious and the longer I stared him down the more I was convinced that I knew where they had gone.
“They’re missing.”
His brows furrowed before he shrugged shuffling towards the dining area once again.
“Weird. I haven’t seen them. You should ask Hobi. He’s the one who cleaned the living room this morning.”
I narrowed my eyes as he turned his back to me and walked off. Yeah. I’m 99.99% sure he has my panties now. I followed him to the dining room. Seeing everyone already sitting as Jin brought in the last dish gesturing for me to take a seat too. I snagged the open chair between Jungkook and Jimin. The two of them all too happy to start piling food onto my plate. To be honest, it was a little strange sitting between all of them. The last time I had seen this many of them in one room together was when we had met for the contract.
It was all incredibly domestic now. Everyone preoccupied with their own conversations as we sat down for the meal. As odd as it felt now though, it wouldn’t take me long to get used to it. Somehow, being here felt right. The only thing missing was Yoongi and Namjoon.
“Where’s Yoongi and Namjoon?” I asked digging into my now overflowing plate.
“Yoongi’s at the office.” Tae responded around a mouthful of egg earning himself an elbow from Jin who scolded him to finish his food before speaking.
“Namjoon had a meeting with a client this morning.” Hoseok answered the second part of my question, ignoring both Jin and Taehyung as he picked out the vegetables on his plate to sneak onto Jin’s.
“This early? On Christmas Eve?”
“You’ll quickly come to learn that those two in particular don’t know the meaning of a day off.” Jimin shook his head.
“Well, they’re not the only ones. I’ll have to go before too long. There’s a couple of surgeries scheduled early this afternoon.” Jin sighed.
“I’m surprised you’re here at all hyung.”
“He wanted to cook Y/N breakfast.” Jungkook teased, eyes finding Jin’s in time to catch the tell-tale signs of redness working its way up his neck to his ears.
“Oh hush. It’s not as if any of you would’ve cooked if I hadn’t.”
Everyone around the table took turns shrugging and nodding. Unable to deny their oldest brother’s claim. The table was relatively quiet after that, the clinking of silverware and plates plus the quiet chatter as everyone slipped into their own conversations again. Jimin nudged my shoulder, catching my attention as I looked at him around the glass of orange juice raised to my lips.
“Do you have any plans the rest of the day?”
I nodded setting my drink back down. “Yeah actually Kat and I usually spend Christmas Eve together. We’re supposed to meet this afternoon to go grocery shopping for dinner tonight.”
His lips turned down in a slight pout. The thought that maybe he was a little disappointed we wouldn’t be spending the day together making me feel a little bad.
“That sounds nice. I’m glad you have plans with someone. Most of us have prior engagements this weekend so I was worried you’d be by yourself until the party with Namjoon.” Jin admitted finally noticing the extra veggies he ended up with and casting Hoseok a look saying he was busted.
It was cute.
“I didn’t have plans this weekend.” Jimin whined, which was quickly cut off when Jin turned his attention to him, gaze hard.
“I’m not going to be the only one at the hospital today.”
Jimin rolled his eyes, looking down to pick at his food. I laid a hand on his thigh, giving it a light squeeze to try to lift his spirits.
“I love Kat and I’m looking forward to celebrating with her. What I’m not looking forward to though is having to dodge all the questions about you guys.” I took another bite already feeling the exhaustion seep in just thinking about it.
“She’s a curious one, huh?” Jungkook laughed.
No doubt remembering the first time they met.
“You have no idea. She’s dead set on figuring out which one of you I signed the contract with. Not to mention, she’s dying to get me laid.”
“Well, she can check that one off the list. That’s a done deal.” Jimin winked at me.
“Oh, she knows. Somehow. Now she’s just trying to weasel the answer as to who it was with out of me.”
Hoseok pushed his plate away from him, leaning back in the chair and rubbing his flat stomach as an indication to show he was full.
“Why not just tell her then? No reason for you to have to keep avoiding it. Unless you don’t want anyone to know about us.” Jungkook trailed off peeking at me out of the corner of his eye.
“I’m not. Besides, if anyone were to understand, it’d be Kat. I just didn’t want to go running my mouth thinking you wouldn’t want our relationship out in the open like that.”
“We don’t mind.” Tae chirped. “We’re not ashamed of it. In fact, I’d rather people know so they know to keep their grubby hands off you.”
I laughed. I was far from a desirable commodity when it came to the opposite sex. So much of my time was spent between home and work, it didn’t leave much time for anything, let alone anyone, else. Plus, my dad, as has already been established, tends to ruin anything serious on that aspect of my life anyway.
“So, it’s okay with all of you? If I tell Kat?”
“Of course it is. None of us would mind. I know Yoongi and Namjoon would agree.” Jin gave me a soft smile.
A smile that I was quickly coming to realize melted me in the softest of ways. I was glad that they were all so open about our arrangement. I was by no means about to just go around telling everyone, but Kat was the one person I felt bad having to keep secrets from. And this was a huge secret. The tightness in my chest finally subsided knowing that I could tell her everything now having their consent. My mood was made even better after that, indulging in Jin’s breakfast even more, not realizing just how hungry I was after spending the night with Jimin.
Perhaps nights like last night and the night I spent with Yoongi were ones I was going to have to get used to.
“Tae, what’s that in your pocket?” Hoseok asked, brows furrowed as he looked down under the table.
The question had me jerking my head up from my plate as Hoseok reached down. Taehyung, mouth full of another bite of egg, stiffened in his seat as Hoseok slipped whatever it was out of his pocket and lifting it up. Tae went to start yelling, choking on the egg as he frantically tried snatching the item from Hobi. Everyone else looked on in surprise as it dawned on them what Hoseok was holding. Jin’s eyes widening in horror seconds before Taehyung snatched the offending piece from Hoseok.
“Yah! Taehyung! What is that!?” he screeched, veins in his neck popping.
“I knew you stole my underwear!” I gasped, pointing at him accusingly.
Jungkook, who had been taking a drink of his water, coughed into his glass sloshing water everywhere as he choked on the bit of it that had gone down the wrong way. Jimin, unable to contain himself, roared with laughter, very nearly falling out of his chair. Hoseok was frozen in his seat, hand still dangling in the air even though he was no longer holding the scrap of fabric. He stared forward unblinkingly as Jin continued to squawk on the other side of Taehyung.
“Why do you have those at my dinner table!?”
Taehyung had the audacity to look sheepish as his older brother yelled at him. I wanted to ask why he had them at all when Jimin’s voice cut me off. Finally catching his breath long enough to say something.
“Please, hyung. That’s not the worst thing to happen at your dinner table in the last 24 hours.”
“What does THAT mean!?”
My cheeks burst into flame, and I quickly turned my face away from them unable to look Jin in the eye. I slowly lifted my gaze to see Jungkook watching me with a raised eyebrow. Tongue in his cheek as he observed everything happening around him. He grinned, the adorable freckle under his lip teasing me.
“One of these days you’re going to have to get over being so shy around us.” He chuckled.
“Maybe. Just… not today. Excuse me, while I go to nab my underwear back.”
