"Jimin, he doesn't hate you. He's just a baby. He doesn't even know what hate is." I giggled, taking a kicking and wailing Sujin from his arms.
"But he does! Look at him!" Jimin pouted as our baby immediately calmed down the second he was in my hold. "You can't tell me that he doesn't know what he's doing. I'm literally the only person he'll cry about holding him."
"Well, you've only been a dad for a few days. He'll get used to you."
The title seemed to lift his spirits some. Spark reignited as he turned on his heel towards the hallway where Namjoon had disappeared moments ago with the second twin.
"I'm going to find Yejoon. At least I know he likes me."
I rolled my eyes but couldn't keep the smile off my face as I cooed at the peacefully sleeping bundle in my arms. We were finally given the all clear to leave the hospital. The extra tests running a little longer than what they normally would have considering we had two bouncing baby boys rather than one. That, and having one of the dads as a doctor meant he was particularly anal about making sure everything was fine and both of them were healthy as can be. Along with me. Jin had hardly let me out of his sight for the duration of our time there.
The man had been glued to me until work forced him away and even then he didn't loiter with his colleagues. He made sure he was back at my side the second he could get away with it. The attachment to me and the babies was a strong one. And I wondered if it was going to make it harder for him to return to work at the end of the next couple of weeks.
"We're going to have to buy new car seats. I don't trust those ones."
Speak of the devil. Jin kicked the front door closed behind him with his heel, arms full of all the gifts we had received at the hospital for the new arrivals. He set them down on the couch, eyes finding mine before flickering down to the little one in my arms. His expression practically melted, eyes glimmering as he approached.
"He's quiet now." He whispered, hand reaching up to slip the beanie Sujin had on a little further over his forehead.
"Jimin's convinced he hates him." I told him with a wry smile, looking away from our son long enough to peek up at Jin through my lashes.
"Jimin's sensitive. He's not used to having someone not fall at his feet." Jin scoffed. "Where's Yejoon?"
"Kidnapped." A deep voice grumbled behind us.
I turned, not at all surprised to see Namjoon moseying his way back down the hallway empty handed.
"I never get time with him. Jimin or Taehyung are always stealing him from me."
"Because you're too soft and let them." I grinned, opting to let him hold Sujin.
Namjoon took his other son happily. Sujin hardly stirring at the transfer in embrace, his little pouty lips smacked together in his sleep, not even aware as one of his fathers gushed over him.
