I sipped the hot chocolate Jin had whipped up for me. The warmth and sweetness doing wonders to calm my nerves even in the midst of the conversation the eight of us were having. With that being said, I still couldn't meet the eyes of everyone around the room. Especially as they passed around the envelope full of the photos Namjoon had grabbed before we left the shop yesterday. My gaze unfocused as it stared down at the table in front of me. I was curled up on one of the sofas, my feet tucked up underneath me as I leaned into Namjoon's side.
His presence an additional comfort and a bonus for me not having to come any closer into contact with those pictures than necessary seeing as he'd already looked through them. So while everyone else had a look, he rubbed my arm comfortingly with the hand he had slung over my shoulders. It was quiet while everyone processed what was in front of them. The gravity of the situation hitting everyone simultaneously.
"Your father had these taken?" Jin asked quietly, almost as if he was worried that speaking too loudly would have me breaking down again.
My eyes flickered up to his, the dark brown in his endless as they observed me in concern. I nodded.
"Yeah. Apparently he's been having someone follow us for a while. Initially it was just Yoongi and Namjoon, but when he realized I was involved with both of them, he started keeping tabs on me too."
Which thinking back on it now should have been stupidly obvious. The several occasions we had been out and I'd notice suspicious vehicles here and there. I was amazed that I hadn't noticed anything sooner. Then again, no one had ever sent someone to watch over me before. At least to my knowledge. Yoongi sighed heavily, leaning back against the couch before sliding his attention to Namjoon.
"I don't suppose there's anything we can do legally?"
I felt him shaking his head behind me.
"All the photos appeared to be taken while we'd been in public. There isn't any indication that they'd trespassed or violated a law of any kind to get them. Unfortunately, you can't exactly press charges on someone in those instances. Besides, we don't know who took them anyway. Only that they'd been hired and who hired them."
"Well, this explains his reluctance in accepting any negotiations for his half of Y/N's shop. He knew I was acquainted with you two." Hoseok looked less than pleased.
Not that I could blame him. He had essentially found out that my father had been toying with him. Knowing Hobi was trying to fly under the radar even though my father knew he was not only involved with me, but that Hoseok also knew and worked with Yoongi and Namjoon had to have been a field day for my dad.
"So where does that leave us?" Taehyung wondered verbally, addressing the room even though he couldn't take his eyes off the scattered pictures on the table in front of everyone.
I cleared my throat, making sure I garnered everyone's attention before slowly lowering the mug I was holding to my lap.
"Good news is that he's not aware of the eight of us being romantically involved as a unit. He believes that I'm just a slut making my way through your group of friends." I grinned wryly towards Yoongi.
