Compared to yesterday, this morning was a complete train wreck. I woke up late, missing my alarm and only rousing when my phone rang. Kat had called wondering where I was because I usually beat her to the shop. I rushed to get ready trying to make myself as presentable as possible since I was supposed to be meeting Hoseok today despite the bags under my eyes and feeling like utter shit. All the long days and extra hours at work were starting to get to me.
Figuring I would stop and grab coffee for Kat and I seeing as I was already late, I stopped by the deli down from the shop. On my way out, I smacked right into someone, spilling my coffee all over my coat. I groaned internally, apologizing to the woman I ran into, thankfully I hadn't spilled any on her. By the time I made it in, I was already exhausted and not feeling much motivation to do anything.
"Here." I grumbled handing Kat the coffee I hadn't spilled.
I shed my coat, wondering what I was supposed to do with it until I got home and could use stain remover.
"Woah. You look like shit."
"I feel like shit."
Tossing my coat in the back, I went behind the front counter and sat on the stool there. I laid my head against the cool glass looking at Kat. She took a small sip of her coffee, not bothering to meet my eyes.
"It's probably because you've been harboring your feelings concerning two specific men."
I narrowed my eyes at her. "You wanna poke the bear right now?"
"Ah, you know what? I think I forgot to close the back door." She mumbled to herself, shuffling towards the door to the back room.
I was rearranging one of our racks up front to include some new fabric that had just been delivered. Kat was somewhere in the back packing another set of orders from the last few baskets Jungkook made yesterday.
"Y/N, I'm heading to that deli down the street. Want me to grab you something?"
Checking the time, it was well past 12. Kat came from the back with her coat and purse already in hand.
"Sure. Just my usual if you would."
"Cool. Be back soon."
I finished the rack, planning on finishing the last few blanket orders that needed shipped out before the end of the week, I ran to the back room to grab my materials. The sudden chime of the bell up front caught my attention. Dropping what I had for now, I rounded the corner to see a man standing there with a huge bouquet of white tulips in hand.
"Are you Y/N?"
"Yes."
He handed me the flowers and a card, having me sign off on his delivery slip before leaving. I didn't think I had a vase on hand to put them into. Opting for the next best thing at my disposal, I set them in a basket before opening the card.
