"Y/N? I'm making lunch. Anything in particular you're hungry for?"
I lifted my head at the sound of Namjoon's voice. The thought of him in the kitchen, alone, and cooking, was a bit scary, but I wasn't exactly in the best place to worry about that right now.
"No, a-anything's fine." My voice came out shaky as I winced through another contraction.
"You okay? You've been in there a while." Namjoon asked worriedly.
He knocked lightly on the bathroom door before slowly opening it. His hesitance turned into concern in two seconds flat as he took note of me hunkered over the toilet. He frowned, pushing the door open the rest of the way and quickly crossing the small space to me.
"Hey, what's wrong? Are you sick?"
His palm touched my forehead, his other hand pulling my hair away from my face and off my neck.
"No, no. Just the contractions are making me a little nauseous."
"You're having contractions?" His tone of voice went up a bit higher, and I probably would have laughed at the look on his face if I didn't feel like utter shit. "When did they start? How long between them are you?"
"Around two or three o'clock this morning, I think? They've been getting worse in the last hour or so. I've been timing around 15 minutes between each one."
"Why didn't you say anything?"
"Because I'm pretty sure the lot of you are more anxious than I am at this point." I laughed dryly. "They're not that bad right now, so there's no need to panic just yet."
Namjoon sighed, his hands moving to my shoulders as I straightened myself from my position over the toilet. He massaged them gently, eyes meeting mine from across the room through the mirror on the wall.
"We should still call Jin and let him know so he can expect us if need be. For now, let's get you out of the bathroom. You should really eat something."
I let him nudge me in the direction of the door, my waddling making Namjoon's figure waddle awkwardly behind me trying to keep pace with me.
"Did you get the last of the furniture moved into the nursery?"
"Yep, it's ready for use. Good timing too." He chuckled.
I hummed, hand naturally gravitating towards my belly. About the only thing it was useful for these days was for propping my crafting projects on. The rest of the time it was in the way and incredibly uncomfortable. I took his hand in my free one, walking with him to the kitchen to see what was available to eat. Not that I was very hungry, but I knew better than to incite the fit I knew it would bring me if I didn't eat and Jin found out. I took a seat in the chair they had dragged in from the dining table since I couldn't stand in one place for long with my swollen, achy feet and back pain.
