Of all the beds I've slept in, Taehyung's was my favorite. The man had like, a hundred pillows and the sheets were always cool to the touch which I really loved. Plus, he always had the air down low, so it was colder than any other room in the apartment. That made snuggling so much better and Tae was a snuggler at heart. So, really it was a no brainer when he asked me to stay with him two nights in a row. The only bad thing about sleeping with Tae was that he never wanted to wake up.
Last night, after leaving Jungkook, I went back to Tae's room who had whined asking where I was and that he had been looking for me. I simply apologized and told him I had been with Kookie and although he didn't ask what had happened, he gave me knowing look coupled with a sly grin. I fully expected to be teased about it, but surprisingly, he didn't say a word. Only handed me one of his t-shirts, asking if I would wear it to bed. And after a quick shower and change of clothes, we buried ourselves under the covers.
My alarm going off this morning made me wonder why I tortured myself. It was almost a crime having to get out of his bed this early, but duty calls. I rolled away from him, shutting off my alarm and stretching. With one look in his direction, I felt a little bad that I would have to wake him up. His dark curls splayed over the pillows; mouth pushed into a pout with his cheek pressed against the pillow. He was adorable. Next door I could faintly hear Jungkook's snore through the wall and I wondered just how bad it had to be to hear it through the walls of the apartment. It was early. Too early to be up really, but I needed to go into the shop.
"Tae." I called him, leaning over him to kiss his cheek. "We have to get up."
He mumbled something incoherently but didn't move.
"What?" I giggled, leaning closer so I could hear him better.
"It's too early."
"I know, but you agreed to it yesterday when I told you I had to be up early."
He didn't respond, just buried his head further into his mass of pillows.
"I'm getting dressed. You better be awake when I get back." I told him, slipping out of bed.
I raided his closet for the few outfits I had in his room. I should really find a better system than having a few clothes here and there in each of their rooms. At this point, I had more clothes here at their place than I did at my own apartment. Which I guess wasn't a terrible thing. I spent more time here than I did over there anyway. But it was getting frustrating trying to figure out which outfit was in who's room. I'd have to talk to them about moving it all into one place soon. I got ready quickly, delaying as much time as I could just so he could sleep a bit longer. That ended up not even being necessary because when I made it back to the room, Tae was still hidden under the covers fast asleep. I sighed. I was so holding this over his head next time he tries to tell me he'll wake up.
I was checking the subway schedule on my phone as I entered the living area, surprised to see a light on in the kitchen. Wondering who could possibly be up voluntarily so early, it shouldn't have fazed me that it was Jin. He was leaning against one of the counters, glass of chocolate milk in hand as he scrolled through his phone. He was dressed in a nice pair of black slacks and a black button-up with the sleeves rolled up his forearms. His hair was combed back, the cow lick in the front preventing all of it from being kept out of his face, but the few pieces that didn't brushed the lines of his eyebrows. Gosh, I wondered if I would ever get over how handsome they all were.
"No coffee this morning?"
His eyes flicked up to mine, his betraying that he was surprised to see me.
"You're awake?"
"I need to be at the shop early. I have a delivery this week for Jimin and still have a few more pieces to finish. What about you?"
"I'm headed to the hospital."
"This early?"
He smiled wryly, knocking back the rest of his glass.
"I'm always up at this time."
I guessed that made sense. I'm sure with all the surgeries that were scheduled, they started pretty early in the day.
"Do you have a ride?" he asked, washing out his cup.
"I was supposed to, but Tae isn't waking up."
Jin chuckled. "Yeah, I could have warned you that he wouldn't. I'll take you. It's on my way anyway."
"Are you sure? I don't want to make you late."
"I'm sure. I've got plenty of time before I need to be there, don't worry."
~♡~
Jin drove me to the shop. The trip there a lot faster since there wasn't a lot of traffic this early in the morning. The sun hadn't even popped over the horizon. On the way, Jin stopped at a cute little café that remained open for 24 hours. He claimed he went there often since it was one of the few places open on his way to work. At his insistence, he bought me breakfast and a coffee.
"You'll need it. Besides, it's my job to make sure you eat."
"I think you just gave yourself that position. I don't remember hiring you." I joked, gratefully accepting the meal and drink.
"Self-employed then." He joked back.
I knew his worry over mine and the other's health was just Jin's way of showing he cared. He was considerate to a fault and spent more time focusing on others rather than himself. It was one of the very first things I figured out about him. Not that it was hard to conclude. Hell, his job was all about taking care of others. We pulled up outside the store, the place looking awfully lonely in the darkened streets with only one streetlamp nearby to illuminate it's front.
"What day will you be making Jimin's delivery?"
"Wednesday. Why?"
"I'm going to move my schedule around for that evening. If it's okay with you, I'd like you to come over to my place. I'll cook and we can enjoy the evening together. Just the two of us."
I leaned over the center console, being mindful of my cup of coffee as I cupped his cheek. I pulled his face to mine, kissing him softly.
"I'm perfectly okay with that."
"Good." He murmured, kissing me this time.
His plump lips covered mine as if our mouths were made for each other. It was no exaggeration saying Jin's kisses were addicting. I could kiss him for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. They always start out gentle, quickly building in intensity leaving my head in a jumbled mess. This time was no different. His lips moved against mine in intent, tongue snaking out to run across my bottom lip asking for me to open to him. I gladly accepted, sighing in pleasure when our tongues met.
He leaned into me further, tilting his head to deepen the kiss with a groan of his own. With one last stroke of his tongue against mine, he pulled back. His gaze was dark, and lips were swollen making them look all the more enticing.
"You should go before I decide to keep you."
"I wouldn't mind." I admitted, gathering my things.
"Me neither, but we've both got places to be and if we keep going, neither of us are getting there."
He was right. Already, I was reluctant to leave him, but I couldn't resist teasing him one last time. I leaned over to give him one more kiss, tracing his lip with my own tongue before nipping it once as I pulled away.
"I'll see you at home handsome." I whispered against them.
"You minx." He rumbled as I got out of his car.
