"Tae, if I try all these on, we'll be here all day." I sighed.
"It will take all day if you don't get a move on. I want you to try on at least a few before Kat comes out."
He avoided my complaints, choosing to hand me a couple of dresses instead. Glancing at them, they were certainly beautiful. Not exactly gowns I would've picked for myself, but at least he had good taste.
"Why don't I help you sort some of them out?"
"Nope." He popped the 'p', shooting down my idea immediately. "The point of what I've picked is to get you in something you wouldn't normally wear if it were up to you. I'm confident that while these wouldn't have been choices you would've made, you'll still look gorgeous in them. We're not picking or choosing. Try them on and I'll give you my honest opinion. Promise."
His finger crossed over his heart. My shoulders slumped, defeated. Should have known that when it came to dress shopping, Kat would find a way to make it that much more difficult with me. Honestly, inviting Taehyung to tag along was a genius idea. For her, not necessarily for me. Casting one last look over the assortment of dresses Tae had collected, I folded. Besides, the sooner I start going through them, the sooner we'd be out of here.
"Fine. Give me the first one and I'll try it on."
"And come out to show me."
"What? No. If I don't look good in it then I'm definitely not showing it to you."
"Y/N, I didn't choose anything without picturing you in it first. I swear to you, you'll great in anything I pick for you."
I dead stared at him. Nothing but seriousness in his returning gaze. I'd be willing to bet that there was at least one or two in there I wouldn't bet my life on looking good on me, but perhaps I should give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, Namjoon himself had picked a gown for me and it was stunning. Something tells me that choosing dresses wasn't a common occurrence for him, but Tae was another story. He was confident being here. Waltzed around like he was in his element, and he very well could be. Surely there had to be some merit in that.
"Now, you're wasting time. Two or three on and shown to me before Kat is out. Don't test me sweet girl. I would not be opposed to coming in there to dress you myself."
He dangled the first dress in front of me. I snatched it from him, already in a foul mood from being forced to try on everything it seemed he set his sights on, I didn't need him teasing me on top of it. I had to hand it to him though, the first one wasn't awful. A pale blue trumpet dress that complimented my complexion nicely. To be fair, if I were left on my own, I might have even considered trying it on myself. I smoothed it over my figure before stepping out of the dressing room. Taehyung was lounging on one of the sofas, legs spread wide while he leaned back into the plush furniture. He had one arm propped up on the back of it, head braced against his fist while his other hand held his phone. The click of the door behind me caught his attention. Gaze lifting from his phone to settle on me. His eyes roamed my figure, slowly nodding in appreciation.
